Not a problem, per-say but I am curious.

Every single leaf has only 3 blades and I'm a week or so from chop: Banana Daddy Auto from Ethos.

Anyone have this issue?

First people are gonna want more info ? What your feeding? Growin ? Lights ? Ect

At first glance you have at least 2 /3 weeks yet auto or not all pistols still look white and straight and buds look like they just starting to swell ? Better pics would help

3 blades - sometime genetics - most times stress ! Yours look overfed ? Nitrogen wise do 3 leaves in ur case is probably something or a combination of things you are doing ? Nice lookin autos

It looks overwatered.
Genetics is for sure at play here.

Autos are notorious for 3 finger leaves. It’s a ruderalis trait

You're growing an auto which is a ruderalis

So its genetic. From the beginning this plant was strange. It's resembled the ditch weed I remember from my youth, the way it grew, the smell, flower structure, ...

I did have an issue when it was young with overwatering. I filled my SIP just a little too soon and she suffered a bit of a setback on account of it.

This picture was taken last week, so its further along than it appears. It's on day 73 and I always say, '84 and out the door'. Not a hard and fast rule, just a guide.

This photoperiod is the exact same age and the exact same soil composition.

Flipped to flower 10 days ago.

I see some downward curling of the leaf tips in the first pictures which can indicate nitrogen toxicity.

Def nitro toxicity! And other stresses wi- in my opinion that plant is no where near ready to harvest but that’s my opinion . Can you get a close up of a bud ?

As previously stated, that is an old picture. It's not current. Removing the plant from its enclosure just to take a current photo is quite the task. I know it had problems, but I got them sorted. This was my first-time using living soil in a SIP.

The only question I had was has anyone seen a plant that ONLY grew 3 blade leaves. I have grown out perhaps 300 plants in my life and this is the first time I came across this.

It's the ruderalis genetics in it. It's what is crossed to make autos. I'm guessing yours came from a ruderalis that has three leaves.

I checked the parentage of it and it is a cross between Banana Kush Auto and Grand Daddy Purple.

Sounds cool. Yeah so any auto will have ruderalis. It's what makes them an auto, at least as far as I understand it. I'm no breeder or expert but I think that's right.

So if any strain says auto it has some ruderalis in its genes.

I hope that helps. And if you look up what those leaves look like you will see some resemblance to yours

I haven't grown a lot of Autos...I'd say less than 20. The entire plant grew larfy but full of trichomes. Here is a picture I took yesterday

We lollipop ours after they flip. We only do it once and after that we let the larf come in. We use them for edibles.

You have a lot of grows under your belt. Do you use autos for turn over rate? I know that some strains are easier to find as autos vs photoperiod.

I like control and I've heard autos have less THC which is consequence from the crossing of ruderalis which has insignificant thc, so I use photos.

I think if I wanted a sea of green that would be a perfect fit for autos

For the variety of phenos in a single seed pack makes the sea of green a more difficult option than you think , not saying it isn’t being done I personally just wouldn’t

Ya, I'll save the SOG for clones where I get more uniformity.

I have two grow areas. My main one is my 3x3 Vivosum tent under a 300 watt Maxsisun 4 bar light and I ususaly grow a couple autos in my closet under 2 100watt Atreum quantum LEDs.

This way I can have some smoke while my photos are vegging out and filling my tent. I have 3 adult sons who cant seem to buy/grow their own and dont want to run short between grows.
