There is a little confusion about this system so I want to set it straight. And to let you know straight off I am a dick,and I have little patience for wannabes.
I started off growing in the 70's and enjoyed a good life in socal and Hawaii until Ronnie came along and started those Mandatory sentencing even though I was only growing one plant a year I decided it was time to take what I had and walk. Moved in with my family in Mex. Fast forward to this century. I come up here for a family reunion visit an old friend thinking I had some parasites from a long jungle trip only to find out I have an off the wall hep virus from surfing the most polluted beach in the US. I was sent to a special clinic running trails program.I was told I had to wait a year to get in. So I decided to fall back on old habits. A family member gave me a computer to help occupy my time. I had started doing hydroponics in Ha.outdoors then moved indoors in the late 70's when I bought a bunch of used street lights and some of that corrugated flex drain pipe filled with gravel. I then moved to aero using 8" pvc sewer pipe. So now it is 2000 and their are seed banks more toys to play with. Mexico was on hard times because of nafta my family had to sell our cattle. My brothers came up here to work at a business I had a piece of. About 2002 I get to the trails and they tell me to go home they gave me about 6 months and less then 10% chance I could make it thru their chemical program. Well I am a Sikh I have never run from a challenge so I stayed figuring I would just go out fighting. As throughout my life I always seem to land on my feet as my Lord my GOD seems to have other plans for me. As I am waiting I run into a Krusty thread who says he has indoor bud bigger then my head. I called him on it saying that's BS. He sent me a pic and I apologized. So I bought into his sys even down to buying yellow hose to match his. As soon as I set it up and flipped the switch I saw what he was doing and all the flaws in his sys. I realized that damn compressor pump took all the fun out of growing just from the noise. So after one round I hit 1.8/plant. Got rid of the 5 gal in 5 gal buckets as there was no room to do anything.(Reef called me a while back and I did not understand his question which was about the spacer you needed in the 5 gal) I put a 3.5 in a 6 gal. About this time I was invited to join krusty and syk's little group. Meet some real nice growers there but as in all closed societies we turned on ourselves threw Krusty out. And then formed a click inside an invite only site. I was only interested in tracking down the right strains. During this time I meet a member who wanted to pump me for my ideas.He wanted me to develop a system and had ideas of using kids swimming pools. Being in a this type of hobby is filled with paranoia we meet finally after months of emails at a harborside parking lot.Find out we are both surfers. Through this meeting I find out their is a guy who wants to fund a nice medical grow and willing to allow me to help design it. From this little group the gm design rose up. Also during this i am done with my commitment with myself that I would grow free for two years(felt guilty making it through the trails when a lot did not). My first run with them we hit 2.6/plant in my buckets which was a breeze. They get cocky and want to run it themselves.I walk in one day and the owner was mixing nutes at 3400 ppm cuz he wants TREES. I see the writing on the wall and became a maintenance guy. Needless to say they have not done what I did. The owner bought me out and I started doing my own custom designs for some people. I am sure those who have bought some nice herbs at the clubs have smoked herb grown in my tanks.
As for those who want me to show pics of plants it will never happen.If you can not wrap your mind around my designs and see the theory of it I can not help you. I see it as I am a Ferrari salesman and you want me to drive it for you because you can not see the details built into the car. If you see a 500 hp motor but fail to see that turn into 180 mph in your mind, well go buy something with pretty pics.
I make the best,yeah I said that the BEST, of what ever I have seen sold or heard of at any hydroponic show. There might be someone out there like me making better but not showing it. It is maybe the most expensive system out there at around 1400 per plant(a/c pumps air etc) site but even with a below avg grow it's paid for with the first run and you walk away with money in your pocket. I know ceo's would give me head for that kind of business model. Money from this gets more free meds for the real sick. I am blessed with my family,my land is paid off and I have a nice collection of surfboards.My needs have been met. I help people cuz I have been there. Like a lot of you I can not afford my own system. My family has pointed out I have done more then I need and should come home full time. I want to finish my room,I have the toys just need a little more time and funtickets. It took me over 6 months to drywall my room with one arm.I am a bit stubborn but I will post a thread from preping a room,installing sound board to flipping the switch with lots of pics. But only when I cross that border for the last time.
I have offered all my ideas to growers for free,I have helped growers design a sys they can afford. But for my custom work that will cost. Now I will only work for money. I have changed from a slut to a whore if that makes you feel better. But I see it as I am selling a system that I have seen others make 10 grand a plant site,so yeah I expect someone to cough up some serious funtickets for my work. I wanted to buy some ad space here as soon as someone kicks down the money.Then you will still only see pics of my tanks.

I have to say if nothing else you have me re-thinking how I do things as far as plant numbers...

I really want to try 20 gal containers and growing trees in coco for starters.

Nice of you to lay it out there like that JK! Trust me, this is a business of trade secrets at this point, I can understand charging an arm and a leg for a bucket system that produces like it should.....as you can see some are charging an arm and a leg for systems that don't yield a quarter of big buckets... JK.....what makes your system so much better then others? when u say 2.6, are u saying 2.6 grams per watt? Have you buy any chance read a book called "New School Growing " . That book seems like something Heath Robinson and yourself might have come across...anyways....they claim monster yields with mininmal plants and hanging all the lights vertical....something like 9 plants vegged under 2 400's until they are 2-3 feet tall with then u send them in a flowering room with 4 1000's all hung vert and the plants in three rows of three with the four bulbs , 2 in each row...this system with coco in 10-20 gallon buckets with an AC unit can yield u monsters..my boy in the early 90's just used to grow 6 plants under a 1000 watt light and three months later he had almost 3lbs of the most neon green skunky heaven dank...

my question is ...are u bringing new science to the table or something? because u dont need to spend shit to get huge yields...now if ur claiming ur getting 1 to 2 grams per watt off strains like the sour dub...then please do carry on ...

2.6 lbs is tight...strain specific? or could u pull that on strains like the sour Dub? shit i can give u a cut of super strawberry D and u can yield a qp off it in a 1.7 gallon container with a 2 week veg....so 6 weeks in a vert system would pull lbs+ all day....

If u can make a small strain like the Sour Dub pull 2+ lbs in one of ur buckets..then hott damn....sign me up....but dunno bout that...unless ur vegging for a couple of months

JK you know how I feel. And when I have enough funtickets I am in that line to purchase your buckets.

I also search the sites for JK posts. A lot of info in them. I learned the most from him on that private site, hell he was banned 2x I think and admin begged him to come back. He did and taught us some more.
I joke with patients that I visit with, that if this guy ever told be to stand on my head and see how much better my plants grew, at 350 lbs I would FUCKING do it.

Brookstone, I don't ever wish anything bad on someone, but you really need to cool your jets and do some reading as others have stated man.

is your system root mass on par with the atomix aero sites? because u can get the highest performance out of almost any system on the market with that set up at a fraction of the cost...of course u have more plant counts though if thats something u trip on ...i'm having a tough time understanding why some custom made dwc/rdwc whatever is so much better....the science with roots and how they grow is what it is

$1400 per plant site is not crazy if you pulling over 2 pounds per plant, i would pay that in a heart beat, 2 pounds where i live would make me 10g's easy.. it would take me almost 10 plants to equal his one, so for someone like me that ain't legal i would pay double that price... keep up the good work jk you will be hearing from me....

I have personally seen pictures of JK's trees on Reef's old site. Just like everything else JK says, he's not BS'ing. Many people show their pics because they crave the gratification that comes from others approving of their work. JK is secure enough of himself to not need that feedback to be pleased. I for one am grateful he takes the time to share his knowledge. Half the stuff he says I barely comprehend and will keep reading til I can. I will also park one of his systems right here when I can afford. Since I told him that he has graciously offered to help me build my own and save some cash. Very glad you have a thick skin so a meally mouth fucker here and there talking out of their ass doesn't discourage you from sharing your wealth of passion and knowledge with ignorant bastards like me. 0sWizZle, I am not familar with sour dub.I have a pic of a bubba in a photo thread,one of my first threads. You can compare if you grew out bubba before. My GM1000's are a drip,nft,aero, with a shallow dwc option. No new science just a little more perfected. If you add up most rooms what they cost per plant it is about half. But I use some good equipment to do the job.I use varible speed air handlers to help with humidity scrool compressors,not some cheap ass goodman a/c only high quality pumps,blowers ect ect. If you went thru my post you will see that I tell people to copy it cheaply. I do not believe it is my way or the hiway. My system is for the grower who has enough of crappy material,poor workmanship,and no service. I have not had to do any warranty work at all. I have flown to help with install problems.
I have shown people GBV work and his 4.5 lb plant that was a simple drain to waste coir/hydroton grow. His was just a 20 gal tub with air temps 78*,nute temps 68*(not needed in drain to waste but he like the O it delivered),rh 65-70%.
Now Heath is the man with vert grows. He was a kbser also. But I do not have the balls to run the kind of numbers he and reaper used to run. If plant count was no concern I would design something like Heaths.
My normal bottom buckets range from 150-250. they are only 18-25 gal tanks. I have dwc and rcdwc sys also that I can customize up to 300 gal. I also make rez's from 40-450 gal.They are bullet proof,double threaded fitting.I hate leaky shit. Now this one little thing makes it worth it. You can open an 8" pothole to service your roots and check your airlines. Most system designs do not even care about that. one case of pythium would make you a believer. The gm1000 was meant to match with a gm5000. this tank holds 8-16 5 gal buckets for veg. once they are done vegging you just slide a bucket out and carry her to the flower room. One day to clean up and you can start a new cycle. It is this complete package the makes my sys kick ass. Suerte JK

Jk let me start off saying I have alot of respect for what you do and all your knowledge. I have always lived by the rule If some has been doing something for a long time and gives you advice Listen to them,In a previous thread you said you would not reccomend One of your systems unless the grower had at least 30 grows,Out of all the off the shelf systems what one do you think performes best? And would you turn down building a system if you felt the Grower did not have enough experience? Thanks JACK

If I wrote that it takes 30 grows I must have just been with one of my patients grows. You need to be able to read your plants well for this type of sys. There are days you get 3" growth which is great it just means though when things go bad they go bad quick. If plant count does not matter I think some of those tables TK runs puts out the weight. JK
