So i live in a studio apartment and cant exhaust outside due to security issues. I live in a not so good area and want to keep my stuff locked up. I have a 2x2 grow temt amd i exhaust as well as intake into my 350 sq fr room that i sleep in. I have an auto flower who is in the last few weeks of flower and i messed up by doing the dark hours inthe morning for me. So when its the most humid in the apartment normally is whwn i have my plant in the darkness too, intaking amd exhausting humid air. I have a dehumidifier and am able to keep it at 60% when that happens but that isnt good enough. Can anyone shoot me ideas or help

Open the window or buy a carbon filter. You gotta get the humid air out and some fresh air in.

I have a window a.c unit to bring fresh air into my apartment, and a dehumidifier but from 6 an - 1130 am its in the 60% rh range. I cant open windows because my cats and instay in a shitty complex. Crackheads steal from my nieghbors alot. Will a humidistat be helpful or just pointless in my situation

No, but a fan and filter will exchange fresh air which will in turn reduce humidity. The reason for this is the plant will transpire and moisture builds up in the tent. When fresh air comes in from the ac it will have lower moisture content than the air in the tent. So when it's exchanged via fan and filter it will lower the RH of the tent. Good luck

Rh 60% might be even desirable when considering optimal VPD. What's your ambient temperature in tent lights on and off? You can always buy second or better dehumidifier. You can also reduce amount of water you put during last weeks flushing or not.

Rh 60% is manageable with thorough and good airflow made by fans in my experience. You're able to achieve this quite easily because your tent won't be stacked with one plant.

Im in similar situation but between my 8000btu window unit and the 50/pint day dehumidifier mine stays ~50-60%. The dehumidifier is overkill Ill admit, its what I had on hand.

Only way I see you getting it better under control is to get a bigger dehu. What size is your current one?

Even if bringing in fresh air you would have to know the relative humidity, if its higher than your apt is then there is no sense in bringing it in. You want to control the environment in the room. Get a bigger dehu

there is air coming into your apt, so put a dryer hose up to that, you can even use an intake fan if needed. and you have air going out of the apt somewhere, put the exhaust there. if no noticeable air exhaust vent, put the exhaust in the bathroom, it vents, i guarantee it. you can even find the vent and use that hole to vent to. or the fan in there. you have air coming in and going out or youd die. just find it and use it.

If i pit my plant in the bathroom and vent it. When i shower the humidity wouod seep into the tent correct? The rh in my apartment is usually around 35-45 and from 8 am to noon it 50-60. Im in my last week of flower

Air coming in through an a/c unit will be lower, since they pull moisture out of the air to an extent. Unless he lives in the amazon rainforest.

But I agree with you, using a dehumidifier would be the best way to remove humidity.

i get all that... but the fact that you take air out of a tent and put it into a room, a small room at that, then put it back into the tent... well... solve that first, then dehumidify the new air.

My bathroom spikes to about 85% after I shower, Ive got a open tile shower no shower curtain. I use the dehu in there also after I take one.

Your tent will suck that in if you have the fan running while showering. Theres atleast 1 if not 2 vents out, 1 for toilet and 1 for ceiling vent to suck out humidity

since i am only suggesting output through bathroom vents, showering and all wont hurt a thing, the intake would be the AC, it gets the air, takes out some moisture (because that is how ac's work) then goes into your tent then out through the vent in the bathroom. then you can regulate the dehumidifier easier.

there is a (for me fairly expensive) dehumidifier that will actually purify the air and has a turbo mode and a hose so you dont have to change it so much, vremi 22 pint - about $150. but i hear it works well. what size dehumidifier do you use? if it is not at least 22 pint it wont do in a tent in your situation.

You can put a direct line from the a/c into the tent. Take duct work and tape it to a portion of the a/c so some of it runs directly into the tent and the rest of it goes into the room. It might look ghetto but it would work if you don't have any other option.

If you vent outside, you will need to run it thru a charcoal filter. Good luck bro!
