I would think adding C02 to the nutrient solution would displace dissolved O2, but I'm not sure. I'll bet @Aqua Man will know this one, I think it's for aquatic plants like in aquariums. Aquas forté.

Don't use. O2 and Co2 are independent but it will form carbonic acid and lower the PH very temporarily as it will offgas very fast in a well aerated system. They are another gimmick per se an being marketed to an alternative to Co2 injection for yes.... aquariums. They give very little and the amounts are for a very short duration. a home made yeast Co2 generator is far far far more efficient and produces a shit ton more Co2 in comparison. In aquariums most of the plants are aquatic not terrestrial so the leaves and stomata are under the water and in order to supply them higher Co2 like we do in our rooms you need to dissolve Co2 in the water. You can google plants pearling to get a good idea just how much gas exchange there is in a plant and you can visually see the difference of photosynthetic rates with increased co2 concentrations.

Long story short you don't need Co2 in the root zone aka water because our leaves are above the water.

I'm not sure where you was thinking to add..but definitely not in the system...water system is for oxygen only...it would be like a bad case of acid rain of co2...
