yea probably a good idea.but it was in my attic and outside it was 40C soo i fought it would have dried on its own in a week. it still worked you would just feel the burn and the ugly taste of alchohol
You were so close and sometimes you can just drip it off dude you know what I mean if there’s a little bit that’s left floating around on top of it and shit kind of like a sheen. You can just drip it off dude you’re not gonna lose a lot you know what I mean and that other shit just gonna stick to the damn tray or pan whichever one you used and I don’t mind a little bit of extra bonus burn fuck it let’s go get a little drunk with my weed on.👊🏻🤡

i want to see the “hash”
I had a few jars of kief that were not great quality. They were my first at temp at dry sift. Hadn’t read anything so, short story, there was a lot of plant material involved. So I separated with using water. After drying I used an older press press to press into squares. It had heated plates. It’s funny, I didn’t know what the press was for. Works pretty good for pressing into hash though. The hash I got from that just doesn’t work for me. Lung buster. Hard to smoke in my situation. The stuff wouldn’t stay on a needle. Didn’t have pipe or flower so was looking for a better way.it was in the oven at 260 for 30 and some 151 everclear. We are not talking much 4-5 ounces maybe. Has evapaorated nicely. I’m going to let it sit out for a few more days. Thanks for the replies. This stuff is sweet!

I see what you’re saying. About the drip. Do you do it when the water puddle is on top of the white(?) layer where the water meets the syrup! I could see the water easily when it was about halfway evaporated. I didn’t drip it because the water was still containing stuff.

ok so you took uncleaned dry sift and put it into a rosin press and you pressed together like a puck?
than what?
pictures of your steps would help waaay more than your explaining as it sounds like your mixing up different methods for different products?
what did you use for dry sifting? what micron size is the “hash” taken from?

My first attempt at dry sift was a friend lent me a couple screens. 90 and 220. It was okay but after watching a you tube where the woman says you have to scrape it back and forth across the screens at least 100 times. Way too much plant material. So, I threw it in a mason jar with a bunch of distilled water. It separated nicely. After taking the plant material off and draining everything but the kief, I refilled with distilled water and shook the jar again. After the second time I drained it off as soon as the kief settled. Three times total washing with distilled water. The good stuff settles out pretty quick. I would take a hose and siphon out the water after they settled. It’s nothing more than an improvised “Gummy Method” . Some of the stuff I started with was a bunch of stuff where I got the big idea to grind it up all fine and sift. I’m going to do another batch as it just solves my problem without a hassle. I’ll post all the necessary pictures to do it justice.

you watched Dank duchess,.. a student of the great frenchy cannoli ok that looks good,.. now from the sift drying out, what is next? you could hot bottle press into a chunk of hashish?

it probably doesn’t taste good partly because of the drying,. i’m guessing you sifted in room temp? and after removing out of jar to dry was probably in an area higher than 55 degrees?..

why did you decide to use water to try to separate trichomes and plant contaminants?

No. Sifting was November and December outside no heat. The jar was in march. The kief was in freezer until then.

I had this batch that I got the big idea to run thru a coffee grinder. Very small. Made it easy to sift down. I didn’t know how to clean at that time. Just put it in jars and went another way. A new set of screens and I was churning out some great hash. Like you do it. Cleaning with a dvd case and then a glove. I like the glove better. I tried to clean the ground up stuff and I would only get a little on each set of screens. It would just fall thru. Then I see this gummy method and figured it would work. I got all sizes with the water. Hoping to end up with something I can stuff in a cart.

gummy method? what’s that,..
the coffee grinder probably destroyed most of your trichomes,.

the dry resin you have, what do you want to do with it?

I’ve all ready done it. I took about a 6 gram square of my hash and popped it in a jam jar with 151 everclear. Filtered it. Froze it. Filtered it again and put it in a pie plate to evaporate. It’s doing well. Another day and I will scrape it up. It’s dry now but I can wait. Hoping it will woork for carts and edibles. There’s a video out there about Gummy method hash.

What do you make after it’s done? I’m still searching for a good path.

is it still powder?
try hot bottle pressing it? than you could mix the hashish in it in with your weed to help disguise the taste or make canna butter for gummies or something?
or press it in a rosin press?

I would melt it under my thounge.or make chocolate bars.chocolate masks the taste best soo far.mango juice makes it hit harder but does nothing for taste.gummy bears tasted even worse haha.
