Just saw on the news that the Federal Gov't isn't going to sue to stop recreational marijuana. Guess that means the wild wild west is on. They said they were going after the bigger black market industry. Thinking this is a victory for the smaller grower. Looking pretty much like you only have to worry if you are careless. Now what can we do to shore up prices...

Here's Marijuana Majority's reaction to today's federal announcement on marijuana enforcement policies.

“It’s nice to hear that the Obama administration doesn’t at this point intend to file a lawsuit to overturn the will of the voters in states that have opted to modernize their marijuana policies, but it remains to be seen how individual U.S. attorneys will interpret the new guidance and whether they will continue their efforts to close down marijuana businesses that are operating in accordance with state law."

Just because they say something doesn`t mean they are telling the truth! Besides they may still have that option open by the next elections.

this is coming from the same man who said he would no longer utilize federal agents and funding to raid dispensaries who were following state laws and then proceeded to raid tons of them in the coming years much more than ever before

I would still act and grow as if you would get life for it. JK
The prices will only go up if the supply dwindles,or grower comes up with something totally unique which is the same principle. I know I will never see 6k/lb again.

Just did some reading on this. Wow. Plain and simple, fucking wow. Up to 32k/lb. If anything that should be an example for overzealous prohibitionists and why it doesn't make any sense to incentivize people with that kind of risk/reward ratio who don't agree with their laws in the first place. That's just crazy.

Oh, and there sentencing (admittedly upon very light reading) seems rather low in comparison to other more "favorable" countries with med laws and research work. Like up to 7 years depending on severity and one site even said they would likely just deport you as a foreigner and ban you from the country, which the site also said the cops are profile pretty heavy on anyone who is white and flashing around but who is silly enough to do that.

What I read is...The Feds are gonna sit back watch all the diversion, and bust countless interstate traffic mules. Build cases as the mules roll etc. and then drop the hammer and say we told you we were coming.

I am retired living with my family here in Jalisco. I think I might putter around in a green house with vegges. There are a lot of high end resorts needing my services. Gotta do something after going surfing or Kayaking. Have a piece of paradise up for sale if any of you had a good summer.

I moved to Japan when I was 14 after being raised in Naples. Too much of a culture shock, much too high density.
If I was still in the business and had access to a plane I would buy me a huge gen. and move to Alaska. A friend bought a place with an abandoned underground mine on the property and is killing it. JK

Think its just paving the way for tax code/banks able to get involved, rescheduling and the ability for their lobbyists to get into the big biz side of things. And make bank nabbing people at state lines.
