Feel Like I Should Have A Funeral

I don't post much mainly just read. But last night I was checking my timer and the hps went out for just a sec I peaked my head when the white lights came on (doing a full spectrum) and I notice banana looking things on my female WTF I thought. I immediately cut her down and feeling very heart broken over this. I guess this happens from time to time but now I have a giant hole in my canopy. Im guessing it was a hermie. I'm 3 weeks in should I dry this plant it has nice little buds on it? I tied the others that were around down to the scrog to fill in I'm only 3 weeks in. Or should I have just pulled the male sex organs off? I just didn't wanna risk it.

If you do not want any pollination of plant - take the hermie out of the grow

That is what I did just sadden by it that's all lol. I just hope it didn't pollinate the ones it was next too but I'm sure it did a little. The sacs on the bottom popped but it was under the canopy so I'm hoping

This early on, I think you did the right thing. Next time, keep in mind that you can spritz all the ladies down to help prevent pollination. Just plain water.

Also, many hermies drop sterile pollen. If the pistils on the other ladies are staying nice and white a day later, then I doubt they were pollinated.

Well that's good to know and it does make me feel alot better. Anyway here isy set up
1000 hps
400 watts of blue in 4 100 watt cfl
5by5 net not really sure if it an official scrog I think more of support at this point
Medium is peat soil mix with coffee grounds
Nutes fox farm tiger bloom at this point
Humidity is ranges from 35% to 50%
Temp is 68 lights off and 81 lights on
Not even 3 weeks in and the buds are bigger than 6 weeks in on the last grow so I think I'm doing something right.

I've been pretty fortunate in the herm department but, if I do encounter it, my reaction is/would be just like yours, kill it and get it out of there. A lot of people will diligently pluck all of that stuff off and continue looking and doing so but, in my condition, that's too much time and effort for me to be bothering with. It is an option though if it's something you want to grow bad enough.
