Hello fellow farmers! I'm not only new here but I am new to cannabis growing all together! Its so exciting. I am an indoor grower. Closet grower with a license. 💃 Most weeks I feel like I've gotten my plant figured out..then bam a surprise. This weeks surprise is..i may have over watered her ( assuming shes a female..it's an unknown seed ) AND I'm beginning to see roots come to the top of pot. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have no idea if this is normal, or what to do about it. Feedback welcome, that's why I'm here!

How big is the pot that you have it in? (no pun intended) What kind of medium? Can you show a pic?

2 gal believe she is n resting n this picture. Doing 18-6

I believe she's n a 2 gallon..I sent pics...still learning this forum..be patient w me 😅
You have that big of a plant in a 2 gallon pot?? That needs to be transplanted into a bigger pot since you are already seeing roots. I would also suggest adding some perlite into your soil when you transplant because that soil looks too dense, which results in poor root development and poor drainage. The ratio should be about 60% soil and 40% perlite. Also, you should stick your finger in the soil and if it is dry 1 inch deep, then water. Rule of thumb to not overwater. And no problem at all! We all start somewhere 🤷‍♂️🤙

Transplanting her tonight or tomorrow! Haven't worked with perlite before. May use another method..not sure. There is so much I wanna do with her...but first i need to make sure she is in fact a female. I want to make clones. My luck is clone her and she grows sacs of seeds

Well of course you worked with perlite before! What do you think those white pieces are in your soil? It's added to soils but the problem is they don't add hardly enough. And make sure to at least give it a week or two after transplant to get adjusted to the new container/soil/etc. before initiating flower. This will ensure that your plant isn't stressed when you make the transition. Keep us updated!

See....I've been pruning fan leaves off of her. She would be very bushy had I not done that. I was worried the bud sites wasn't getting adequate sunlight which wld keep her from growing to full potential ( I'm convinced I did the right thing ) but nnooowwww seems i over watered her. I'm pretty nervous that she is under sooo much stress and I'm kinda sad about it. Extremely hopeful she will bounce back to her beautiful self. After all it is a weed 😬

Nothing wrong with defoliating during veg or even flower (if you do it at the right time). You are cutting down the risk of mold/fungus problems that tend to happen in dense foliage and do add some extra benefits like potentially opening up bud sites to more light. It does stress the plant out but just give it 2 weeks to recover to be sure and flip it to flowering. I have seen far worse plants bounce back. Yeah you definitely overwatered but if you follow my advice overwatering won't be a problem because it drains sufficiently and your roots will be fine. (Droopy plant like yours is a sign of overwatering). 👍

Howdy and welcome!
