This may be a dumb question but I’m asking anyways. I’m growing using Coco Coir 70/30 with Perlite. I plan on using Gold Leaf to add nutrients during watering, adding worm casting and adding mycorrhizal fungi to my medium. My question is should I, or is it okay to add a fertilizer like Gaia’s All Purpose 4-4-4 to my coco? Is this too much? Am I fine with just adding the Gold Leaf during by waterings? Should I just add the 4-4-4 and forget the Gold Leaf?

All help needed, this is my first time growing. Using a 2x3 room, Mars Hydro FC-E300 LED light, AC Infinity air filtration kit with the AC Infinity 69 Pro Controller and using Night Owl seeds.

Thanks for any help or tips to my grow setup! Much appreciate my dudes

It sounds to me like you got a decent set up man, you did good with that purchase 300w is what a great number of people here use all the way to the end of flower no problems. So many times people come here and they have already paid for the wrong gear, but you did good.

Bump for tips, I am not familiar with coco anymore sorry so I cant give advice. But hopefully somebody else can help you.

Thanks dude! I get hyper fixated and do tons of research. One question. I notice a lot of people I view videos on never move their light. Do I have to move my light or what’s a good height to just leave it at? And should I dim it or go full blast all the time? Also - 24/0 or 20/4 or 18/6 with Autoflower? Just purchased some Ethos seeds as well after posting this.

Me personally, and a LOT of people here, keep their LED lights 30" from the tops of their plants. This is a safe distance and you wont stress your plants at that height. Some people can keep their lights 15-20" but for whatever reason my plants always get stressed out when they grow past 30" . In flower its different, they demand a lot more but that's not the topic.

As a beginner? I would start your 300w light at 30% dim which would be 90w, at 30" from your plant tops. I recently put 8 seedlings under 100w of light, my SF SE5000 at 30" and they loved it. Its a safe place to start.

The highest I go in veg by the way is about 150-170w. In flower they will demand a lot more, but that's another topic. Some people will tell you to push it, crank the light, put the LED 20" from the tops, but that's up to you man . If you ask what I would do, I would go 30" above at 30% dimmed to start with. That's what I did, and I had great results. It was the first time using my veg light as a seedling light and I was worried it would be too much, but they were great.

Sorry I cant help you there, I don't grow autoflowers and they are a whole thing. Lots of people here grow them though so they should be able to help you. Any answer I give you would be from memory and not experience haha.

So one last question regarding what you said. During flower I’m assuming I turn it all the way up then?

You will more than likely get to the end of the dimmer, yes. In flower I turn my 720w LED up by 10% once per week until I reach 80%, but you have a 300w, so you will probably get to 100% no worries by the end of flower. Don't be worried about asking questions, its what places like this are for.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Currently doing my research on stress training, topping, water regiments, defoliation etc.

A lot to learn
