I’ve got this little auto girl getting beefed up to go outside in a smart pot. In a hypothetical and ideal world, I’d plant it and then come back to harvest the 8 ounces RQS suggests might be possible 3 months later (I know it will be a lot more complicated than that!). My grow store has Happy Frog and Ocean Forest. Any preferences for a grow requiring the fewest added nutes? And would the heft of a 7 gallon fabric pot be worth the extra room to grow for a 4-5 foot autoflower in comparison to a 5 gallon pot?

Yep! Ocean Forest for sure! And I like the largest pot I can afford to fill! Probably won’t be a huge difference between five and seven though! And perlite! Good God! Don’t forget the perlite!😳😁

I run a mix of both in 5 gallon fabric pots 3 cups perlite per pot. Top dressed with FF soil conditioner at week 3 above ground. Pour organic fish poop for flower.

Going Ocean Forest in 7-gallon fabric pot. What percentage of perlite should I shoot for?
Kind of depends on whether you’re using the expensive number four or the cheap horticultural 20 bucks for 4 ft.³ small stuff! I use the cheap stuff! Lol! And I would shoot for a minimum of 30% with the small stuff! It just AIDS with timely dry backs, especially when you’re growing in a wet, humid area! Or like me, you have to use evaporation to keep the root zone cool! I don’t grow plants! I grow root zones! The plants take care of themselves! I would throw a couple of gallons of small perlite in with 7 1/2 gallons of soil at minimum! But that is all subjective! I’m a perlite lover, so I always err on the high side! At worst, you just have to water more often! And if you feed during the grow, you might have to feel a little more often! But bottom line is, pot plants hate wet feet! Dry backs are important! Just my two cents!😍 we are in two totally different environments, though! You’re in the jungle I’m in the desert!

Spend the extra money and buy some build a soil 3.0. Build a bigger pot like 15-30 gallons. Make your life easier.
