Agreed, I understand what you are saying. I will be transplanting into 5 gallon planters around that time I am guessing so I assume it will mean 3-4 weeks from the last time they see fresh soil? Am I correct on this.As @DemonTrich mentioned FFoF does run a tad hot. And is packed with minerals right out of the gate. DO NOT add additional nutes for the 1st 3-4 weeks of veg if your going to veg that long. Some good AACT tea's is ok but stay away from the bottled nutes until later in veg. Or you run the risk of N toxicity. After 3-4 weeks if you want to veg longer you can start adding other supplements. Good luck and karma on your run....... :D
Ffof is kinda hot (nutrient enriched), I'd cut that OF down a bit so it doesn't fry your seedlings.
Understood and I was warned, but you know how the internet is...one says don't and another says its not a problem. I thought it would be fine to go for it as most of the roots are still in the jiffy pellet for now. The northern lights seems to have taken just fine, but the og kush has just stopped, I have to suspect the shell and membrane keeping the leaves balled up is causing this now. As I have two different strains it is hard not to compare the two, but obviously they will act differently as shown by the og sprouting a couple of days after the nl.In the future, Id recommend starting seedlings in something not near as hot as FFOF.
I used to get away with growing in HF. Im on coco now.
When I started my blueberry seeds, I knew they were delicate plants before I was mind blown at how delicate compared to everything Id grown since. I put them in straight up seed starter mix made of peatmoss, vermiculite, perlite, an unlisted wetting agent and it even has its own lime.
I do all my seedlings and clones on artificial tap water. Cal/mag plus to 250-330 ppm. If Im doing things wrong.. not a single one of my babies has complained about it yet.
Understood and next time I will just get some plain soil until I move to 5 gallon pots.I second that. I am currently using ocean forest and I found I had to cut way back on nutrients in the beginning. I still have to cut back with one if my plants. Originally, I had no idea ocean forest already came fully loaded until someone else pointed it out to me.
Oh wow, I didn't suspect they would take off that quick, but I'm not complaining lolWell you dont have to wait that long... Im running a lot of my smaller plants I flower in 1 gallon smart pots.. takes a lot of watering but.. Yeh want to build that root ball asap at every stage right?

This is a blueberry clone I forgot to date and when It came time to transplant everything else... my guess is it was in there for 3 weeks..
This clone was still revegging from discovering it wasnt one of 7 males in the pack that germed.. for note.
Thats in ammeded peatmoss from ace hardware..
I wanted to do some sort of germination setup, but I ran out of cash getting everything else together, hopefully by my next run I can do that.Id recommend making a germination station with a t5 of some make. Im using a mini tent.. which sucks cause Id like to pop seeds but my cloning dome is in the way.
Im using some "FULL SPECTRUM" lights as well.. found out how bad it can be for your plants health over the course of 3 runs, about a year. Switched to one of these fancy ceramic MH and Im happy af.

Here is another thing to consider. If your ending the veg phase and flipping to flower after sexing, be sure you don't up pot with fresh soil in 5 gall pots and then flip them to flower. Flowering cannabis does not like a lot of N. By the end of your veg cycle prior to flip you want the plant to have used up the majority of N during the veg phase so it isn't overloaded during bud set and flowering.Understood and I was warned, but you know how the internet is...one says don't and another says its not a problem. Hoping it will come around, I got time...That NL is coming along nicely. Hope the og isnt stunted from the shock of having its shell torn off.. Ive had some do that, but never show signs of much shock.
Some more pics would help.. o.o Is that thing a mutant?
I wouldnt give them anything but tap water if yours is good, provided the soil contains elements of its own for now.. or artifical tap water.. I use cal mag plus from RO water to 250-350 ppm and nothing else.. I use this for my seedlings or freshly rooted clones.. As nutes WILL burn them, given that they may already be present.
Is that a current pic of the Og? Def look into seed starter if your local hardware store carries it. Should be made of peat moss and stuff. Super easy to grow things in until they are established and you can up pot them to amended soils.
