BTW oldie, i have been working with my friend who is a beetle guy, anyway together we have been extracting alkaloids from the frass of these beetles, in particular the potato bug. We are feeding these beetles Nightshade :) I saw on a TV show a while back this guy say how when a Beetle like a three lined potato bug eats Nightshade, it makes a toxic compound that deters predators, so having remembered this silly program from ages ago, then meeting my buddy in the pub and after a few ales we got to doing this. I am trawling about to find many other common examples which we might use to our own benefit, who knows, but tomorrows answers are staring at us today i swear
