busy busy as usaul bro....u got thisthis is an example of what i am dealing with outside the gates. This is a number of issues, but primarily it is linked to the calcareous soil here, the high pH irrigation water, itself abundant in carbonates and not used frequently enough to leach excahangeable cations below the root zone, the lack of humus, organic matter and over soil stability, the loss of fungal mass due to poor IPM practices to control root pathogens, themselves a consequence of poor soil management and structure, lack of N due to irrigation flaws and high soil buffering, leaching Sodium interfering with K uptake, Mg uptake slowed by applications of Ammonium N, itself a reaction to the calcareous soils from previous owners, lacking both leadership and so best practice through years of tossbag agricultural industry experts miss leading them.
I have lots to fix here, now its prune, next its add the bokashi compost, cardboard, woodchips, bokashi manures, relay the new irrigation lines, introduce new IPM practices to limit insect and competing plant matters. Continue with specified foliar treatments until i can fix the soil every 4 weeks.
target is 3500 boxes per acre in 2 years ;-)

So today I have been finishing the pruning in the upper field, the trees look very pretty now LOL.busy busy as usaul bro....u got this
thanks bro, its reno that got me here buddy. I have been using a straight mulch of Comfrey leaves, mostly because i didnt have anything else to hand, but anyway, it works great bro if you know this plant? It grows fast and provides lots of bio mass, excellent for mulching food crops too, breaks down in about 1-2 weeks, mine at 3inches thick is usually all gone by the end of bloom, leaving just awesome K rich humuswith it cold should get some good color from her,,them damn leafs are awesome
hope you managed to get some rest broneed to find me some to tune too myself ,my ass is tired, lmao hell of a day
never heard of that one,,navelinas? So today I have been finishing the pruning in the upper field, the trees look very pretty now LOL.
I have tested the soil requirement based on the drip line for the Bokashi and noted we need about 5 tons of material per hectare, 4 times a year. This we should be able to reduce over time, but anyway its not a heavy cost even in year 1 since we already have the relevant IMO.
My base N requirement is 1.3lbs of N per tree per year, I anticipate the bulk of this to come by way of liquid feeds in the first year, iNitiate, Bio Veg and Bio Floret depending on the season and flush sequence. I anticipate the bulk of this will be delivered via pre brewed teas to reduce the cost of application per tree, but I have been working on a 5-3-8 with pre loaded Mycos and 3% CaO as a granular, this way I can drop feed (150g per 1.5m2) the shallow roots inside the canopy drip line ring of Bokashi, then i could get away with running only Bio Balance Media via the irrigation lines at a rate of 6kg per hectare annually. This to prevent micronutrients binding at the higher pH range associated with calcareous soils, or otherwise leaching out of the system, and to assist in flocculation of the clays, lower maintenance of the irrigation lines by reducing the limescale deposits and so limiting downtime through blockages and or other waste.
I am not expecting a large yield this year, but I am expecting us to have the fully healthy orchard by the end of the winter. this then leaving us ready to target 3500+ Citrus Cartons per acre of high end Organic Navelinas and other citurs
Navel oranges i thinknever heard of that one,,navelinas?
