Change the res every week to make sure the water stays clean and you can change nutrients with the feeding schedule.

Dwc is easy once you get the hang of it.

ppl been growing in hydroponics before they invented the digital EC TDS PPM meters.
I think you might be a bit lost in all the learning curve of hydroponics.
If you don't know what Macro or Micronutrient or minerals is driving your numbers up then your still guessing unless your guess is matching what the leafs of your plants are telling you.

The only test you can do so you know exactly what's going on in your reservoir is not a EC PPM TDS meter.
You do a complete Nutrient analysis on what is in your reservoir.
You need a photo nutrient meter and about 300.00 in reagents... the reagents have a 2 year shelve life.

Nutrient Analysis Photometer

The Hanna Instruments HI83325 is a compact, multiparameter photometer with digital pH electrode input for use in plant nutrient analysis.
www.hannainst.com
I would be willing to say VERY few hydroponic growers have these because they look more at the plants leafs then anything else.

Your replicating what is in top soil ..
The easiest is to figure out what plant needs and give those nutrients to your plant .
I use Canna aqua Nutrients. If your willing to buy and use the same Micronutrients I use then I can walk you through a complete grow.

Great you got the Macro nutrients Aqua Canna VEG A and B and one of the- micronutrients . ( cal mag.
Now you need the rest. you got about half of it, hey the hydroguard or active earth is a solid must have if your not running a chiller.

Mix 1 ounce of A and B per 5 gallons of water
half ounce of cal mag per 5 gallons of water.
PH to 5.7 every day . do not ph up, and do not be doing the Duncan yoyo thing and PH down to much and then have to PH back up.

FYI brother your flipping the lighting in 30 days to flowering and if the plants are not topped, then top them now please .
With in 5 days of flipping to flowering you will need Canna aqua floral A and B nutrients .
in the last 2 reservoirs before harvest you will need Canna Boost and Rock Resinator ..
There are much cheaper nutrients and just as good.

No offense but indoor hydroponics in the most expensive, labor intensive and technical way to grow with the longest learning curve .

Hey Roger.....I've ran the Kratky Method of Hydroponics this past winter.....it was great! I learned more than I can remember with a 6ish month trial run.....

First and foremost, big shout out to @jadins_journey , who, kept my plants alive, while I traveled down the unknown road! Thank you jj!

Second, there are wet roots.....and there are dry roots......!!!! Now I know!

Third, ph, ec, ppm, xyz......they do matter.....immensely so! Once you figure out the range, then you can tuck the meters away, temporarily........

Fourth, and the reason my Kratky session is on hold till the fall time.......reservoir temps!!!! I couldn't keep the feed temps down.....the reservoir temps were way high.....haha bitches.....

You are in awesome hands Roger!! Any questions you have, ask away.....
