"I was diagnosed with epilepsy about a year and a half ago, and after taking a long break, I decided to start smoking weed again. I also decided to try growing my own. I'm currently on my first grow with an autoflowering strain, which I picked because I thought they would stay short. I only have a 5-foot-tall grow tent, so I figured it would be a good fit. However, a couple of days ago, I ran out of space, and I had to make some quick adjustments. I've attached some pictures—any advice on what I should do next would be really appreciated!" also i have never defoliated so if someone could help me know is i should do that and how much would also be a great help

One way to make it shorter is to start doing LST to make it a little wider and less tall. But it needs to start earlier in veg.

There's also HST for autos but don't recommend it. I've never done hst for autos but may try next run.

Its recommended to not defoliate depending on flower time. Or if u do, just a few leaves.

As for the lights, I'm not sure. Someone with more experience should help. I'm still learning.

I can tell already that it’s a bit hot in there just as a favor. Do you think you could pull that plant out of there and put on your flash and take a picture of that thing it’s really hard to see and diagnose any type of precursor for stressors were already Affected leaves. I’d like to be able to see a top down shot a side profile. That would be helpful man.
Blurple make it tough

Ive got the same problem, im wondering whether to chop the top 4 buds off , i didnt top my autos so i have one main stem which has stretched right up to the light !!

No need for HST really man. He’s got plenty head room there to move that light up. If need be you know if you’re gonna start super crop and stuff that’s when you’re smashing your head against the ceiling basically and I do have a tutorial video on how to do that correctly during flower as to not cause any issues Now you can do some defoliating, but I generally try to tell everybody to keep it easy just like you said, but going for the largest fan leaves that are pointed towards center mass of the plant that are covering the most or multiple top sites. It’s usually just about seven or eight leaves depending.

Raise your lights somehow man don’t go chopping those colas off you’ll stress the hell out of that plant especially since it’s an auto and listen dude with autos you can train the hell out of them. You’re just have to start early and without mercy I generally start topping any type of auto at the fourth node and then every subsequent node that grows after that And I usually stop at 16 main lines and then it has plenty of time to go ahead and pack weight and build it frame
Here’s a video on how to super crop real quick man it’s easy and it works
I only ever employ this method when you’re out of other options now be careful if you choose to go this route, smashing those stems and rolling your fingers back-and-forth. You really gotta pay attention to how the inner stem wall is breaking down and you don’t wanna split it just be careful and take your time and you’ll be able to do whatever you need to with that thing And if you need more pictures I can show you colas that have been bent over in flower

cheers dude..i tried bending her over last night to 90 degrees and this morning she had straigtened up . i wanted one large plant but did my usual trick and discarded 2 seeds when they didnt grow , then they grew so ive ened up with 3 , (theres a small plant at the base of the one on the left ) they are auto afghan kush and apart from lollypopping i havent touched them ,
I am trying growing in batmix but its acting like soil , i drenched it to run off over a week ago and if i go near it with water now it wilts,

So yeah, since it did go back up, you can just work it again and re-bend it back down or you can make a weight that’s in the shape of a U that you can just hang on the stem after you make the bend it’ll hold it down and keep it from pointing back up to the light

Sorry man, I’ve been out of town. I didn’t mean to leave you hanging like that. Hit me up and message. If you wanna chop it up a bit more.

Ive bent it over to the corner now, and lifted the light up a bit ...one question. is it pointless to use microbe tea like biosys with coco? this is my first grow with batmix and i have added minimal nutrients (1ml per litre of A+B plus silica) once a week, if i water anymore the plant just wilts

Do not cut the tops

I would pull all the tops over to the sidesplit them like you are parting your hair.
And tie them over somehow.

You have to get as mych space as possible in between them amd that light.
And if that blurple has a veg and bloom switch, best not have that veg side switched on.

i have the veg side off so that way it is not too much heat on the plants, the leaves are showing signs of burn i think. i just tied them down this is hopefully good enough i added like 6 inches between the lights and tops so now it is about 8 inches from most tops

ive got the same issue at the same time...this is the first time i didnt top my two plants and that middle shoot went right up to the light, i ended up bending it in two places near the middle of the stem and the top so its over in the corner more...and this is what led light burn looks like, bright orange.
