Been growing fruits and vegetables in a 4x8 grow tent for the past couple of years using AC Infinity 4x4 EVO lights usually all the way up to the point of harvesting some delicious home grown food, but I decided to try my hand at growing something new recently.

Just looking for some advice in regards to the sex of this plant and if I am on the right path to flowering. This plant is a month and a half old, I currently have a 12 on and 12 off light cycle with regular waterings into a super soil mixture comprised mostly of Down To Earth amendments(feathermeal/blood meal, seabird guano/bonemeal, azomite, langbeinite, greenstone metabasalt, and humic acids along with some worm castings). I recently have given this plant about a half strength dose of extra bone meal and langbeinite to encourage flowering but I’m not really seeing much in the way of improvement other than the plant continuously growing both vertically and horizontally with vegetation. Temps are around 80-82 with vpd set to 1.0 on average on my humidifier.

If I’m missing anything, please let me know and thank you for taking the time to read and respond. The strain is Tropical Punch btw

Is it an auto flowering or photoperiod strain? That helps a lot in terms of info. If it’s an auto you would see signs of flowering by now. If it’s a photo if it was ran 12/12 light cycle from the start it also should have signs of flowering by this point. Regardless the difference between male and female is pretty apparent once they show sex. Left side is female right side is male. Think hairs for ladies, balls/bananas for the dudes.

It’s a photo strain, but I only just recently have been running the 12on and 12off cycle for the past week and a half. Is there a particular time frame I’m looking at for it to break veg cycle and start to flower ?

Generally within 21 days to start forming flower. Some take a little more or a little less. Mine were flipped 8 days ago, no signs of flowers yet but all plants showing female. By the Friday after next I’m expecting to see them start forming if not before. As for them being in flower, some people consider the flip the start of flowering, some people, like myself, consider the week after the flip to be the first true week of flower. Others will say they don’t count it til they visibly see flowers though haha

Yeah, so far I have had nothing but great success during my veg stage, the plant would be even bushier had I not removed some leaves and stems that were being eaten by aphids that got in somehow. Running Mammoth Cannatrol to keep the pests away, highly recommend.

Just wish this thing would hurry up and flower so I can make plans on what to do with it. I have a move coming up and I need to come up with a plan on how to get it from point a to point b haha

Houston, we have lift-off!!

This stuff is super fun to grow but I don’t even imbibe myself. Just like growing new things and having people try it out.
