The harvest was pretty good. I found Advanced to be a little heavy on the N. I used a couple of Bloom boosters but they were all from AN (like Big Bud and Overdrive). I switched from AN after that run, because of the pH thing. I’m using Remo nutrients now and I like them.
Week 5... I found something strange happening in my res this morning.. I mixed a fresh batch yesterday, place my air stone, when I went to water this morning the ph had risen from 6.2 to 7.0 and it was like the nutrients had reacted and all clumped together. There were lots of little bits in it! Has anyone ever found this? I’m struggling to figure out what I did differently from any of the other times?? Maybe adding 2.5ml more of A+B at the end to kick up the ppms??

I don't run airstones in my DTW rez but I replenish my nutrients in it about every 5 days.
Something is reacting in the nutrients to cause the precipitation. Are you using RO water
And that’s what I’ve been doing for weeks, that’s what really puzzled me. No I’m not using RO and I haven’t ever used it, I just bubble it for 24 before mixing my nutes to remove the chlorine. I’m thinking the order in which they were added?
Week 6 update - most of them are doing well bar a few that are just dwarfed! I noticed some rusty blotches with little pin holes, more on the lower leaves as well I’m thinking a def? Magnesium? As it’s a mobile nutrient? Or maybe ph but my ph going in with 30% run off twice a day is on point! But they continue to grow and stay green?? I’ll post up underneath this post to see if anyone can help...
Quick update here before the flip! Lollipoped and quite an aggressive defoliation! Let them recover a week and then flip! Changed my nutrients to snoops premium coco grow 2.5ml per l with botanicare cal/mag 5ml per gallon, silica blast 4ml per gallon, hygrozyme 1.5ml per l, and superthrive at 1 drop per gallon. For bloom I’ll be using snoops premium coco bloom, yummy yield and heavy harvest! Thanks for looking!
Ps. The plants absolutely love snoops premium! Fuck advanced and their ph perfect nonsense! Nothing but trouble with that stuff. Happy growing yall! HOG
Wasssup?! Checking in here at day 6 of flower! FINALLY! Been struggling this week with a slight sulphur deficiency (yellowing new growth) I think I found the cause being salt build up in my medium as the run off ppm was higher than going in by about 200ppm. Previously couldn’t allow for run off as my catch trays were too small for my new pots, haha! I have since adjusted them and can now allow for run off without the bottom of my pot re-absorbing the old salts, with great difficulty! As I had already set my scrog... such a big learning curve this first grow! Absolutely love it tho! I’m going to continue with the 315 cmh until beginning of week 3 then I’ll swap it to my de 1000w with adjustable ballast. Has anyone tried the cmh through the stretch period to try to contain it? I’ve read a few things about it so thought I’d give it a go. Also liquid seaweed upon transition is meant to help to?? Anyway I’ll get back to my weekly updates here show you lot the progress I’m making. HOG.
Day 14! The stretch has been REAL! Tried to control it with higher temps at night, it seems to have worked quite well actually. Buds are forming and growing day by day now. There is no white hairs showing on my number 4 yet, in fact nothing much forming at all! I’ll give it until Friday then Bin it! It’s a shame too because the stem rub on the number 4 is INSANE! Terpy as hell. Anyway let’s continue!..
