I recently finished setting up my tent and popped some seeds in to germinate. Growing 4 different strains all indica or indica hybrid and photoperiod with similar height and flowering times. planning on LST and scrog. I have experience taking care of my finicky tropical houseplants and I've spent a good amount of time researching and I'm looking forward to something that's a bit more hands on.

I wanted to make climate control as easy as possible I'm in phoenix growing in a detached shop with a window AC unit, with winter with highs in the mid 80's and lows in the 60's for now but 10-15% RH so I went with one of AC Infinitys kits plus a humidifier. Here's to hoping for a good grow and a better harvest.

Inside sensor is currently in the humidity dome

Same situation here. Despensary weed is super expensive in ohio.
Welcome to the Farm.
Thanks! Yeah it's crazy like $30-45 an eighth if you want something decent and it adds up real quick.

Also using a kasa smart power strip to track per outlet power usage and overall electricity cost to grow mostly out of curiosity.

Mostly growing to save $200+ a month at the dispensary but also hoping it turns into a rewarding and fun hobby.
I hear ya! I was spending $200-$300 a month. Now costs are down to maybe $50 a month (electricity, water, nutrients) and I get 2x-3x more product.

Definitely a fun hobby too! Not just growing the plants themselves, but creating the grow room and all the ideas that follow each successful grow. The grow addiction is real! 😁

Things are going well! 1 seed sprouted in under 60 hours, happened overnight and the other 3 by the 72 hour mark. They are all around 1.5-2 inches and one is showing roots at the bottom of the rapid rooter!

Also got myself a $30 kasa tent cam so I can check up on my plants without having to walk out back

Thanks! If you're interested it's a kasa c120 you can live view anywhere with no subscription and store as much as you want locally with a sd card they're pretty cool
I used cameras in my tents for a while but stopped because they weren't worth the trouble to me. I also use power meters and am wondering about the Kasa model you're using. I've been upgrading my grow room and am still working on the power. Is your power meter Alexa compatible?

I use a Kasa Smart Plug Power Strip HS300 from Amazon for about $40 that gives me 6 outlet I can monitor turn on/off and then I plug that into a single Kasa kp125mp2 .
The power strip gives me individual outlet power usage and tracks for 30 days but the single outlet that the strip plugs into gives totals and gives more data to track.

I use everything through the Tapo app and everything connected seamlessly, they're also about 50 feet from my router in a detached shop. No hub or anything and yes they support alexa/google and a few other smart home systems

First pic is one of the plugs on the kasa hs300 power strip
Second pic is Tapo interface
Third pic is data from kp125mp2. No hub or subscription required.

Just keep your wattage in mind these are only rated for 15amp or 1800 watts if your on 120v. With everything running full tilt I'm using about 954 watts but I put in a dedicated 20amp circuit for the setup. I'm an electrician by day lol

Looks something like this and then the circled one goes into your regular outlet.
More than happy to help if you have questions

After thinking about it for a while, I remembered why I stopped using Alexa devices. It doesn't look like you're using Alexa though, so this might not be a problem for you. My issue with Alexa is it doesn't handle power and internet outages well. So, I started using tent controllers from AC Infinity.

Yeah I've had the same issue with Alexa/Google. I also use the ac infinity AI controller to manage my environment, these plugs are only used for energy tracking or if I had to shut everything down quickly . They don't seem to care about power outages/being unplugged they just boot right up and connect to the app.

Day 8 after planting seeds, things are still looking good although lemon diesels leaves are curling upwards not exactly sure what's going on there.

Temps and humidity have been around 75-80Β°f humidity around 70-75% I have the ac INFINITY controller set to vpd mode and it's been holding around .7-.8 vpd with fans gently circulating air around tent.

I haven't increased lights but I did move from root plug tray into cups recently so it could be transplant shock but I'll watch it over the next few days.

The humidifier will come in handy during veg. Once they are larger and in flower you are going to have high humidity when lights are out. At least that’s my experience I am also in Arizona.

Thanks! That's the plan, I figured once they grow big enough it'll naturally stay more humid in the tent as for now it's been pretty low outside the tent

The medium looks a little dry. If it's dry it can cause the tips to curl up. Don't worry they are young, just keep them fed enough with enough light, they will grow, don't over water, you want the roots to develop
