cool got it. btw how long should I leave them off like that? do i ever take those strings off?I think you will be surprised how fast they recover. In addition I would add a little support to the the branch at the end ( where your leaves at) when they start filling out n get heavy, you don't want it breaking.
Leave it tied down for a couple of weeks. You can leave it tied down until harvest, as long as any place you tied the plant doesn't strangle it when the stem gets thicker. Plants have an amazing ability to straighten up again, even when you use high stress training, and "snap" some stems.cool got it. btw how long should I leave them off like that? do i ever take those strings off?

The top of the plant will start growing upwards, right away. Then you should see all the growing points that are now fully exposed to the light start to grow upwards, too. If you can add more light during the grow, do it.
