The very top of my coco gets dry after a few hours because I have negative pressure with two open tent vents and a fan spinning the air in my tent.

This is basically why I got away from Coco. I was hand feeding and just could not get enough to drain out of the pot. I went to my hydro store and started talking to one of the techs that knows his shit. I was going to so a leaning table like many on here do with a pump to extract waste out to a res. We started adding everything up and by the time we got about half way thru he looks at me and says why don't you just go hydro. The cost from stuff at the hydro store was about the same. I went with the greentree bucket systems. Only challenge I had was with a res, very limited on space for a res but I started looking around for odd size tanks and I found you can get just about any size tank you want in just about any dimensions. Within reason. RV water storage tanks work really well. Just order the size you want and they will deliver to your door. A little black paint to prevent algae build up and I was in business.

If you just stick to feed, water, water, water feed, cycle throughout the life of from start to finish you will be amazed how smooth everything goes. Follow @TheGrowTent on YouTube or read The Grow Book that @TheGrowTent sells for $25.00. It will seriously change your grow style and yields. Using his feed/water schedule for the 1st time (my 3rd grow) and it has been flawless 50 days. Just my 2cents?

Imo you never feed coco just water unless you are flushing. Soil is a different story.

@Aqua Man I am having trouble getting any run off what so ever. Every time I feed no matter how much goes into the bucket nothing comes out. Do you think it might have something to do with my set up. I have them on an auto feed system that comes on 3 times a day for 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes the return pump goes on and returns everything to the res. How do I get run off?
