Oh, I see how it is. You made fun of me for trying to take a picture through the loupe, but good ol cbrian gets a pass. I've got you in my scope now, Chucky.

Galgrows didn't run him off, the taste of his own medicine did.

GUYS THE FUCK IS THIS
LOOKS LIKE BUD ROT
BUT ITS ON THE TOPS OF THE BUDS
it’s so frosty I can’t mentally handle this today

this plant was in the back right corner of my grow space. Not as much airflow but I’m outside in california.

It is right behind the first plant I found a caterpillar on, the reveg. All of the damage on this plant was on the back side against the shade cloth.

My wife screamed when we were looking thru branches and scared the shit out of me. said she saw a caterpillar. but before I start spraying and praying I want some advice

Good news look at this thing same plant lmao

I did move them away from the corner for more airflow and less bugs falling off the tree.

Hey everyone!

I’ve been positing off and on for a few months but I wanted to get all my thoughts in one spot. I will probably tag all my other posts here in case someone wants to surprise me and be interested.

Second point of this is to hopefully help some new growers like myself learn things that can and can’t work, and that cannabis is pretty damn resilient. I don’t know much but I am very familiar with feeling absolutely lost on growing.

What I’ve learned this year by doing it wrong;

-you can’t take seedlings from your window sill to a green house and expect them to be okay. They need to adapt.

-if you top you cannabis and cut off the new shoots that YOU AREN’T SUPPOSED TO CUT OFF your plant will still grow. Might be a little sling shot looking but it will grow.

-140 degree green house is too hot lol

- boy plants are bad

-you can drown your plants pretty easily

What I’ve learned from doing it wrong;

-Weed is fucking resilient. Even with all the fuck ups I’ve done I have six girls going strong.

These are my girls as of today, on the backside of the green house cuz it’s fucking hot. Just transplanted to final 30 gallon pots in a soil blend that I basically freestyled

Hey there! Thanks for sharing your growing experience, and it’s great to see your positive attitude despite the setbacks. Your tips about letting seedlings adapt and greenhouse temperatures are super helpful for new growers, and it’s amazing to hear how resilient cannabis can be, even when things don’t go as planned!

Your girls look fantastic in those 30-gallon pots, and it’s inspiring to see how they’re thriving despite the challenges. Freestyling your soil mix sounds brave but rewarding—sometimes experimentation leads to the best results! Happy growing!

That’s amazing! Your plant looks so happy and healthy—clearly, the extra airflow and fewer bugs are doing wonders. Great move on relocating them! Sometimes those small adjustments make all the difference. Keep it up, and feel free to share more updates with us!

Cut off the affected parts and open them up and make sure there’s a caterpillar in there! You’re going to lose a certain amount every time to cats! They are going to get their share! You just don’t want their share to be too big! You may have to spray BT if it looks like they’re getting out of control! I never have, but they’ve never gotten out of control! So don’t panic and try and wait and see the extent of the infestation! And do a lot of inspecting and picking! If it’s environment related bud rot, then you have to figure something out! I don’t have to deal with that! Minor cat issues are not really that big a deal! Nice wasp!

Thanks for talking me off the ledge my man I did chop off everything I saw. And had a minor meltdown but were fine.

I don’t think bud rot would make sense. I had already seen caterpillars. I bought some captain jacks dead bug spray if I get desperate

Make sure it has. BT! Monterey makes BT! Evidently that’s what you need for cats, And hopefully you won’t have to use it! I haven’t seen a cat damage yet, but I will! Part of the game! Hang in there, brother! And tell your wife to quit screaming! That’s the shit that will give you a heart attack! L O L!

BT is definitely what you use for caterpillar or any borer (stem must be injected with BT). If it were me, I'd get straight BT for your issue at hand. If you are spraying anything, it should be what will do the job. I'm sure there are natural ways, but you mentioned the other spray. I know BT works bexause i used in my garden. Works internally on the pest, so it must be ingested by them. It isn't killing them topically.

Often times it seems, the strains that smell like sweets are the insects favorites. Makes more sense to grow those indoors unless you don't mind the stress.
