First time grower just looking for some advice

Well an update on my Sour Diesel X OG Kush. It is not an auto like I thought so topping the one isn't as bad of an idea as I originally thought. Kinda upset me to know that they sent me photo seeds instead of but hey what can you do. My knew plans for the one I topped is to try out mainlining.

Day 52 update it's been couple weeks since an update. I have added two new plants and moved my hydro SD X OG Kush into the tent from the hydro farm I had it in was getting way to big for that little counter top thing. Lol

GDP has been in flower now 32 days now. Well since the first sign of hairs showing it has been 32 days.

Bigg Mamma has decided to really take off these last couple of weeks well I suppose they all have really.

This is the sd x OG kush that was looking so horrible on the last update I done let her sit and dry out for roughly 8 days before watering again first sign of healthy growth I watered 1/2 liter and she bounced right back and took off with vengeance. She was the runt of the group in the beginning now she is the tallest plant minus the LST I have done on two of the others.

For the SD X OG Kush that I decided to try out mainlining she has started to recover in the past couple weeks and start to stretch out again.i do have one question for anyone that does mainline plants how often do u defoliate the fan leaves as she stretches out to the edge of the pots. Ive been taken two leaves off each stem every three days to keep the from over lapping.

Now for the hydro plant she is thriving. Not much to say other then I think this will be the way I grow from now on lol.

And for the two new additions they are only 34 days old from sprouting from the soil they are both Grizzly Purple Auto flowers.

Looking good
I defoliate in veg about 10 days before I flip my lights to 12/12, then again at about day 21 with lights at 12/12, as soon as I'm sure the big stretch is over.
If it is a bushy plant I will defoliate again about 2 weeks before harvest for optimum light penetration to the lower and interior buds.

I do still appreciate everyone for helping out a month ago with the lighting issues and watering issues they were definitely my issues.

Is that on a mainline plant or just any plant in general. Now that the stems on my mainline plant are longer I don't think I need to take fan leaves off to keep them from over lapping each other. But I was every two or three days having to take the first set of leaves off the stems closest to the stock to keep them from folding and over lapping.

I also do realize that's a lot of plants in the same tent. I am waiting for a new light to come in so I can move my auto flowers back into their own tent. Once I move them over I am planning on flipping the others to flower except the mainline plant of course she will be moved to the autoflower tent and kept vegging a while longer

Take your pick....main lining lst the stems place them from center out leaving space between each stem surrounding the main stem. After each stem has 2 or 3 nodes....top it so the 2 or 3 nodes remaining grow straight up towards the light. Each becoming a cola. Prune any of those stems that are lagging behind and defoliate as described above.

I prefer to not clip a leaf here and a leaf there. It would be kind of like a rabbit eating a little salad every day or 2. My growth may slow for a day or 2 but they always respond in aces for me.

Yes I have realized that clipping a leaf here and there really does slow growth a lot. Seeing that I haven't defoliated the hydro very much and the other SD X OG Kush other then taking the giant fan leaves from down bottom off once I did that they grew taller and other leaves got bigger. I suppose that's the plant sending nutes to the lower leaves first

I was actually always growing hydro but at first thought I had an autoflower in my counter top hydro farm thought I could grow in it. Turns out it's not auto it's photoperiod so I had to move it over to a dwc to allow it to grow properly.

Day 64 update all my plants are looking very healthy and happy to me doing well.

GDP Auto so ready for her to finish up flowering about 4-6 weeks hopefully lol. Been in flower for 6 1/2 weeks so far everyone that's ever grown says takes 10-14 weeks.

The 2 grizzley purple autos have been in flower now 2 1/2 weeks they are also a month behind the GDP. But they are looking great. Taller one is growing naturally no LST the shorter one I actually accidentally super cropped her when moving her from my bigger tent to the smaller tent. But she is thriving just as well. Also can't wait for these to finish up I love the grape smell they are all ready producing.

Now for my photoperiods my hydro SD X OG Kush is doing great as well topping her didn't affect her at all. Wandering is this because she is growing hydro or just luck she took well to it.

SD X OG Kush mainline plant she is gonna be small and not produce as much as I hoped but she did good.

Big mamma is looking a little crazy but she seems to be very happy as well.

Last but not least radio SD X OG kush once again this was my runt of my photos and now look at her thrive.

Since my last update I have slowly been lowering the light time for the big flipp lol now at 13&11 time for flowering of the photos hopefully they will produce and be ready by mid June at the latest.

Photoperiod plants, in my experience don't mind getting topped at all. And most will enjoy a good defoliation with out a hiccup as well.

Just an auto update today.

The GDP is looking for good smells even better lol. Starting to get some milky trichomes now. I am leaving for 5 days Friday I hope they will be fine with a good watering until Tuesday or Wed next week when I make it back in.

As for the Grizzly Purple they are thriving and producing some nice sized buds very dense also.

So far I am very happy with this first grow around. I also have learned a lot this grow. My next grow I will only be growing two autos in this s tent. I know that one is going to be northern light via fast buds. Trying to decide my second strain. Would like to hear what everyone's thoughts are on the strains I have to choose from. Blueberry auto or the banana purple punch via fast buds.

Time for my final auto updates.

GDP 63 days in flower trichomes started to get milky I left out of town Friday morning for 6 days I decided to go ahead an chop her down let her dry while I was gone. I am satisfied with my first grow. I know could have went long in flower prolly 2 or 3 weeks I'm sure but am happy. Wet weight was 148 g. Dry weight 28 g. Could have been more. I do believe she dried a couple days to long also.

The Grizzly Purple was in flower for 70 days roughly the trichomes where roughly 50/50 yes they could have went a couple more days possibly a week. For the first one I decide to chop as my buddy that I had watering doesn't know how to mix nutes or read the name of nutes. She starting turning real yellow and prolly only had 3 fan leaves left on here lol. The second plant was prolly more 60/40. Wet weight on the first was. 165 g and the second wet weight 151..

My Sour Diesel X OG Kush have been in flower since March 1st. Don't quiet understand what he was thinking when he thought he didn't have to check water levels on the DWC plant as when I returned she was bone dry. I hope she bounces back. Also the bag plant is doing fine.
