I'm new grower, I have gotten some seeds from a family member. No idea which strains I started with has seeing that they came in a ziplock bag mixed up. I wanted to try outdoor grow for now. So I started 2 and miracle potting soil and a small pot for about a week. Until I read that I was a big no no so I transferred them to two seven gallon fabric pots with Fox farms ocean forest soil. I had miscalculated on how much soil I'll need it for both pots so I was only able to fill them about 3/4 of the way 6 in away from the rim. They have sprouted 3 days ago. What's the best setup for outdoor grow? have my pots in a screened in back porch in direct sunlight. Thank you for your knowledge

Your way ahead of the game being screened in decent soil with room to top dress ...practice good watering and you'll be rolling

You have just made a 3 to 5 Gallon pot...you said 7 gal fabric pots 2/3 full so yea its enough you can add some more as it grows ....if your worried about it they are small enough you could add more and raise them up without disturbing them if your carefull....you can do a plant in a 3 gallon pot it will just be smaller
Here's 1 I got almost done in a 3 gal

When you said add more to raise them up you mean just add more soil and it'll grow to it or actually raise up the plant. Dig out like a transplant?

You can slowly add more as it grows or dig out carefully , fill pot and transplant . up to you cannabis has ... easier to copy n paste
Adventitious Roots: These are roots that develop from non-root tissue, such as the stem, according to Alchimia Grow Shop. Cannabis, being suitable for cloning, has the ability to produce these roots, particularly in environments with high and consistent humidity.
Nodes: Roots will emerge from the nodes (the points where branches and leaves sprout) along the buried section of the stem. These nodes are essentially growth points with the potential to develop new roots when placed in a favorable environment, like moist soil.
Benefits: Burying the stem deeper can offer advantages such as potentially strengthening the plant and providing a more robust anchor, especially during the flowering stage when the plant produces heavier buds. It can also help the plant withstand adverse weather conditions like strong winds or heavy rain.
Considerations: While burying the stem can be beneficial, it's essential to ensure proper drainage to prevent root rot

A pic to explain. Each time I top coat, I put a bit of soil over it.

This plant was buried deep in the beginning, with the dirt mounded around the seedling, I just kept buried more with each top dress/feeding. ( Composted manure, coffee grinds, eggshells, ect.)
