In that urban situation, ambient light is going to prevent your plant from flowering. If you want it to flower, you will have to make sure it's in the dark for 11 hours or more, each day. Otherwise, you will have nothing to harvest but leaves.

If you can artificially add the dark period, I would suggest transplanting into a larger pot and getting rid of those wood chips. If you can't artificially add the dark period, you have a novelty houseplant.

If it is an auto, I don't think you're supposed to transplant it often, if ever.

I have a space to add artificial darkness when I need it. What size pot would you recommend? Is there a right way to repot it?

Prune off dead leaves, give a light flush and check ph adjust if off, allso cut back on nutrients.

What are you seeing in the pix that makes you suggest less nutrients?

That pot is on the small side, but it is large enough to support a modest size harvest (4 oz maybe?) Transplanting seems like a wise choice if possible.

I have to agree that the city-light theory seems like a reasonable concern about flowering, I hope she matures will for you

You want a pot at least 2 inches (5 cm) wider than the one it's in now. Make sure it's got plenty of perlite or other ingredient that helps with drainage.

I up-pot the way I'd up-pot any plant. Make sure the soil is moist, and try to slip the pot off. Try to loosen the root ball so roots will be able to take advantage of that new soil — sometimes that means breaking a few roots. Add a little soil to the bottom of the new pot, put the plant into the new pot and fill in the sides with soil. Water well and then don't water until it needs it.

Many strains seem to want extra magnesium, calcium and nitrogen those first couple of weeks of flower.

Outdoors, full sun, put it in the largest pot you can fit and/or afford. A bigger pot will almost always equal a larger plant, and thus more fruit. Now, with that being said you might not want a huge plant in that space which brings me to my next point. It looks like you topped, albeit maybe a bit late, nevertheless that’s awesome. Next time, definitely look into doing some LST. It will help tremendously with controlling height and shape, in addition to increasing your bud sites and maximizing your yield.

You’ll find out how important it is to create and maintain an even canopy of bud sites. Because branches like this are of little value at this point. They’re too far from the top and really won’t amount to much. When you repot, I’d recommend clipping them and cleaning up some of the fan leaves. Try to bury that stem when you repot, don’t be afraid to go into a large pot if you can fit it in your space. But be cautious with watering since it won’t dry out as fast.



You should interpret having to tie the plant to a stake in this situation as a sign that it got too tall too quickly and stretched. LST and training can help with this. We all do it, I have a plant outside that is almost the exact same just bigger. I topped it late, it’s stretched pretty good and now my lower bud sites are way to far away from the top canopy. So just something to watch your next go around.

Overall though, your plant is looking great. Job well done!
