Hey guys!

This is my first indoor grow and to be honest my last grow was outdoor and with little to no extras nutrients or such. The bud was okay I guess, but this go around I want to do much better.
Looking for advice on when to add nutes and other supplements. trying to go simple and I just have a unused bottle of floragro.

And is molasses a good idea at this stage or any?

Molasses is mostly useful for maintaining microbe life in a "living" soil, which attempts to mimic the nitrogen fixing action of some bacteria that live in or with some plants. If you think it is difficult to grow buds, growing a balanced living soil is difficult. The sugars in molasses don't get used by the plant, but instead are supposed to feed the flora of the living soil.
The biggest impact on potency and appearance, aside from the lights and growing method, are the genetics. You can't get nuggs from a Sativa and a weak THC plant won't sudden;y start to make copious amounts of THC just because it is grown indoors. I try to keep the roots happy, damp, and with plenty of O2. I feed about every 12 days and give straight water in between to keep salts from accumulating. I use Promix and concentrate on the plant instead of the soil. I'm not saying that living soil isn't great... it is the closest to going straight 100% natural. I just find it easier in my case to replace the Promix after each run and invest the $35 for a new bale of it and a bag of composted manure... enough for another run!

Awesome, thanks for the info. I’ve just been overwhelmed with info about feeding. Really just trying to do this run as simply as possible, there is a lot of snake oil and people trying to sell a bunch of junk I don’t need. I’ll try what you recommend and just keep it simple with the feeding ever couple of weeks.
