What gadgets do I need for a successful outdoor grow in Florida. What should I do when my plants have sprouted? When do I worry about mites? What is the life cycle?

7 gal fabric pots
Foxfarm ocean forest soil
In screened in patio.
Gets real hot on patio 112°F
Wilting on one true leaf
Sprouted for about a week

Thank you for your knowledge

Yeah, be patient! Maybe one of the other two people that grow outdoors in Florida will chime in!

Lol wow we have same porch ! I'm doing 10 gallon fabric , Same soil.

Definitely fans ! I got one at BJ's wholesale on sale 40 bucks oscillating.
Capn jacks definitely
Put em in the shade if it's over 94! My porch hits 120 easily.
I'm using and aloe vera mixture as a foliar conditioner, seems to help this year ALot .
I just soak some aloe plant in hot water let it cool and put in a spray bottle . Discard unused portion.

I moved my plants outside the patio to a location that gets sun all day. With a digital temp gun my soil and patio Was hitting 112. One of the seedlings was getting ate up by a tiny green aphid. So I picked off the bug and dead leaf. I didn't use the that type of captain jacks. It was a different bottle and only did the inside edge. What is a foliar conditioner and why use it? What's a good store bought or homemade insecticide to spray on the plant itself?

Last year my guys got to the eaves of the house ... I harvested first weeks of September. Wish I could have gone later. Mites started to get at me towards the end . Been lucky so far this year . White flies has been my only issue . Seen a few . Having to re treat .

I move mine in and out of the sun or weather all the time . When it's hot I pull them in shade or when it's raining hard until they can withstand it . This year is the first year I have committed to the capn jacks . So far it's been effective . I've only used 2, 16 ounce bottle so far . My guys are 5 feet tall at the moment . So it takes a bottle to cover them usually. Last year I used fox farm Don't Bug Me. So so . Pyrethrin based.
Walmart carries the capn jacks concentrate for 14.00 enough to last the season I prefer the soap one with the spinosaid but it's hard to always find in stock.

The foliar conditioner is something I read about somewhere... Did some looking .So I tried it. Someone on here has a post about it ....I'll have to locate it .
Tried it about a week ago. Last year the leaves just looked so papery. I wanted to find a way to make them lusher . So that's what I tried .
