My first time setting up an H.I.D. MH light with an aircooled glass reflector.I have the fan hooked up right next to the mh light to blow hot air out.Temps stay at about 81° to 86° in there. 8 white widow in Fox Farms Ocean Forest in big pots to prevent rootbound. That is my first time hooking up ducting and a fan to a reflector.Should I have my 1000 watt MH light closer or farther from my plants as seen on pic? Any opinions are greatly appreciated...

That's a lot of wattage. But if you can control the heat and temp ok. Unless as Ikharon says you run co2, keep temps around 75. Leaves are showing signs of over watering or heat stress imo. If that's a 4x4 tent 1000 divided by 16 gives you 62 watts sq foot. Plenty! I'd move he light as far away as possible. 2' or more, They will stretch.
I'm sure others will chime in too.

Looks about right
If you push air thru light u will have positive pressure in tent ( air and smell escaping thru zippers)
If u suck air from fixture u will have negative pressure ( air and smell sucking thru light
fixture )

I prefer to hit about 81* in my veg room, w/o co2. I'd drop those temps. Easiest way, put a 18"+ floor fan, and have it blow between the canopy and bottom of hood. It will drop temps by about 5*. I do this in my veg (2 fans) and flower (4 fans). Plus later if you do decide to go co2, put your co2 lines on the back of the fan. The fan spreads the co2 thru the room. Works perfectly. Also, I'd top those plants by about 1'. Those girls will be +1/3 height after flip/stretching . Use the tops for clones. Then lower your light so they don't stretch. Just my .02
