Hello fellow growers,
Can anyone shed some light on this please. I had x3 autos and it looks like one has turned out to be a photoperiod. X3 months in and I’m still cutting it back to stop it from growing massive. It’s exploding everywhere and just won’t die no matter how much I cut it back.
Does anyone know if I flip the lights from 18/6 to 12/12, can I revert back to 18/6 once she has worked out how to flower? She’s in the same tent as my auto flowers but I can work round this if it’ll work as they are almost done now.
Thank you in advance. A new growmie.

Why don't you just flower it now? 12/12 won't hurt those autos if they are almost finished. The photo will stretch during the first few weeks of flower and maybe longer. Showing us a picture would help us help you

It just won’t stay small and I haven’t a clue what I’m doing, although I must be doing something right as those fan leaves grow that big in two days from nothing. I’ve taken it out of the tent and put it next to my little pepper lights on 12/12 . Maybe I should put it back in the tent on 12/12 next to the autos. Oh and I’ve taken some cuttings in case it’s a super freak

I'm in the same boat right now with a GG4 grow. One of the seeds is a auto. I didn't know it was a auto until it showed. And honestly it's not that good of a auto. Should have pulled it when it showed auto. It's not going to produce much. But I went ahead and cranked the lights up to 20/4 and now have it right at 900 ppfd. The photo is vegging away. Being GG4 they are going to be small. So I will let the runt auto finish then see if I can get the photo to fill the tent. Just growing through the mess.

Yeah you don’t want to flip it then reveg it messss up the growth.

Just flip it when you no longer want to veg it.

Add a bit more n to get it through the stretch stage it doesn’t look like it’s had enough. Looks like it’s been getting enough p&k but just slightly slacking n

I’m not saying it’s deficient in n I’m just saying it’s “slightly” lacking not much just a tad

3 months later…..
I’m not sure if replying or starting a new post is best so apologies in advance if I’m doing this wrong.
I had an auto which seemed to be a photoperiod and now it’s all larfy and full of seeds. Grown in a tent with no contamination ( I’m guessing )
Can any of you kind people shed some light on what could have actually happened here and should I just bin it? I’m so confused now with feminised, hermaphrodite, female, male. I don’t even think this plant knows what it is.
P.s my others turned out great. Just this one went weird.

Larf is usually an environment issue. Example if I don't have a nice even canopy I get larfy lowers because they're not getting adequate light. Heat will also contribute to airy buds. Can also be genetics and since you mentioned it was supposed to be an auto, maybe you just got the "Danny DeVito" seed.
