The 0,2l Battlegrow in the german forum is starting again and i was thinking about a way to get the 0,2l Cups into my flower without having to water them twice a day. So i took a cupholder i made, opened it up and put in a bottle as tank. Microfiber as wick. I already made holder for the cupholder (lol) so i can mount it on the side of my flowering area.

im curiuse if it works,,i tried a self watering 5 gal bucket grow, didnt pan out plants didnt like the duck feet all the time and the heat in the tent caused fungus in water,so i cloned the plants and took them apart just to see the outcome of the root system, didnt look good most roots had damped offTHEY'RE ALIIIIIIIVE!

what i did is same method for tomato plants, drill many holes in 5 gal bucket bottom, then 3 in hole for a net cup, lined with chesse cloth, cup sit about 1in from bottom, weep hole on side of course, ran 3/4 in pvc for feed tube, worked great till it got hot, then fungus from sun and heat took over, washed roots with peroide like the water folk do,then covered bucket with reflective foil insulation, looked to be getting better, went couple weeks, then on there sides found um one morning, sure as shit roots were wasted,,so i took the clones that i grabbed about 3 weeks earlier and grew them, breed 2 of them ,blue dream and incrediable bulk, breed with gg's gold blaze, about to harvest the off spring and will soon know what she smokes like hahahwick must not be any organic material. i used cotton last year and that wasn a good descision. the orange towel stripes rotted away and i switched to another cotton towel because 2 sripües werent enough to keep up with her thirst. this time its microfiber.

hell i just might give it another try, with that,i got about 20 buckets around here, and about 30 tomato plants that love um,it get in triple digits here a lot and you gotta water these bitchs twice a day, that sucks when you got a huge garden to tend to,im thinking a 1in hole in bottom and run the wick threw the soil at a spiral up the bucketthats the main key.
Soil as wick works too, my Sub Irrigated Planter works like this.

looking good bro,,hell that the same setup i have, except i used a 3in pot and drill a million holes in it,mine wasnt open to the bottom,i had the net pot zip tied on bucket, lined the cup with chesse cloth and packed in the soil, was working great to the heat came on,both plants were caged and about 3 ft tall, one putting on fruit,,i did have t's just setting in bottom were the cup wouldnt be on bottom and the bucket stood on them
