Flower twice or cut it back?

Ive got an outdoor plant - that used to be an indoor. I started 2 in february, 1 to live in my tent and 1 to "mother" my clones for this season. The mother plant lived in the tent until it started flowering along with the other - then moved outside (when i ran out of room) along with the clones when it was warm enough.

Problem is, it didnt stop flowering for awhile - our march/april days were not much longer than 12 hours - so it didnt get the signal. Its gone back to veg now, but the buds are not fully matured. Trichomes are still clear-ish and im not sure theyll improve any further until the end of this season.

The question - should i just trim away the bud that has formed and let it start fresh? (I think it can handle it)
Or, leave it alone and let it flower twice on top of the old bud?

It's not guaranteed the extent the plant will do it but if you leave them buds alone as it reveges, it should develop a crap ton of new branches growing out of the old bud sites and if you chop them buds you won't get the chance to see it.

So, I let it flower a few more weeks. I thought about letting it go all summer, but the buds were pretty dense and we got alot of rain - so I decided to compromise. Im sure it was in veg mode already - but after the chop it really took off. Lots of new shoots, extra leaf on the remaining buds, seems to be handling it well enough. Also, just as with the clones taken while the mother is flowering - all new growth (leaves and stems) is "flowering" too, covered in trichomes. I left 1 or 2 big buds on there, hopefully they dont rot before harvest.

Its good...not fully cured yet, but plenty strong (Terpintine and cat piss, but in a good way) Im still trying to figure how many weeks this strain needs, internet says 7-9 weeks flowering - both my plants (indoor and outdoor) went well beyond that and the trichomes always looked like this.
Indoor was about 12 weeks and this outdoor was probably 15 or 16 (i think)

It takes however many weeks it takes for the heads to get good and cloudy and maybe some Amber if you want it! Clear isn’t particularly good! I’ve had some outdoor that took forever to even get cloudy! So you never know! clear, denotes, a lack of cannabinoids!

So how was the stuff you chopped? Did you even get a buzz?

Ive now cured and smoked some of both (the 12 week and 15+) and theyre both pretty great - cant even really tell the difference between them (once its chopped up) Theyre both sticky, good flavor and plenty strong - itll keep me goin until outdoor harvest is dried and cured.
