Greetings to all from the hills of central NY,
I have been growing weed off and on for 40 years. Have a few outdoor hybrids that are well into flowering and should be harvested in about a month. We will be out of town for 10 days. There is no rain in the forecast. Should I take the time to set up drip irregation every few days, or just let it ride?

In ground, or in pots.
I'm NE Ohio, and have already cut back on watering, since temps have dropped. But temps are coming back up in the low 80s this week, but for how long.
My plants are big enough to create their own shade, so I've only watered, once weekly, during this cooler weather. I check my soil near my plants with a shovel. I wanna know what moisture is, deep into the soil, before I water. ( Lots of peat mixed in for moisture retention)

Ya might be alright, then. Other than that, a drip may be the way ta go. IMHO

Thanks for reply Hoss.
Plants are in the ground. Expect temps around 72/50 for the coming week. (It was 40' this morning}.

If they were mine they'd get a really good deep soaking the day I left and let em go. They look like they're more than healthy and have plenty of ground cover to help limit evaporation but only you really know how your patch of dirt behaves. We've definitely hit our fall weather stride a bit early here in NY.

Thanks 95.
That is exactly my plan. Just didn't want to be negligent by being a bit lazy.
