Okay guys I’m new to this site, and this is my first time growing. And I just read on here about flushing? Then I seen the product “biobizz”? What is it? And why do growers flush their plants? Mine are at about 10 weeks now. Please help me understand this process.

And why do growers flush their plants?
The only reason to flush that I know of is to remove excess nutrients that have become toxic. I have never flushed a plant's soil.

Jmas sends a good article.

Flushing a plant with water hoping to render sweeter buds is total folly. The only nutrients that flow out of the plant roots are those trapped in root tip free space. So silly, incorporated, chelated organic metals are magically going to get released and travel all the way from a bud into and past a root hair.

Flushing in late flower to somehow remove excess nutrients from the plant is old bro-science that just won't die! Sometimes when using synthetic nutrients which are bound to salts (NOT NaCl) the salts will build up in the soil and adversely affect the plants ability to assimilate nutrients, in that case a flush of the soil to remove the salt from the grow media is warranted. This is usually done around "flip". Normally you flush the soil with three times the volume of the pot with water. Most of the products sold to "flush" are nothing but a way to seperate a grower from his money.
