Yeah...I hear ya...thats why I ask..
I grow in beds (mostly) so its kinda hard to flush those..
I try to stop feeding a few weeks before harvest anyway and just use water.(and maybe some Molasses)
but I read this here
http://oregonsonly.com/herculean-harvest

When growing fruit producing plants we have all been told to spend ten to fourteen days at the end of the plants life cycle flushing out any nutrient flavor that has occurred during the life of the plant. However, we find that this information is misleading. Once a plant is built and designed with a salt based fertilizer and all the cells in the stems, leaves and fruit have been built it is not an easy task to remove that flavor from a plant. Our customers have run many trials and have found that by feeding a calcium based regimen all the way through, with the last five to seven days feeding Herculean Harvest, Aphrodites Extraction, and Olympus Up as a sweetener, not only did the quality of fruit improve, but they also saw a yield increase. Plants need that last stage in their lives (fall) to translocate all the sugars that they worked so hard to make through photosynthesis during their life span and relocate them into the fruit. Herculean Harvest, Aphrodite’s Extraction and Olympus Up aid in this process while adding extra flavor.

/\/\/\ I disagree, IMHO thats marketing and propaganda! CGK your beds are prolly chalked full of NPK, not sure what you amend with but a rich organic super soil gets watered 80% of the time with just water, like our flushing now 80% of the time. Then maybe a AACT every week thru veg and then thru wk 5 of flower, after that water with some glucose or molasses should do it, phos if not flushed will make your herbs ash burn black not white/grey like a true flushed product should burn.

not sure about that ken but i have read that feeding your plants cal-mag only during the flush enhances the taste and/or the way it burns when you spark up one of those two and it could just be Mag not Cal but im going to try that out one month or so only epsom salts the final two weeks .... I wouldn't suggest trying anything new in a bed run maybe try out some new tricks on a single plant so you don't ruin the whole crop if the outcome is not what you desired

Im tryin out that combo rite now but ill use it 7 days instead of my normal molasses then another 7-10 days plain water.. I still want 2 flush my plants..

Im tryin this new mix bcuz I ran out of calmag mid bloom & now late in flower I see some big animal cookies asking 4 Mag but im afraid 2 add calmag this late <<(my normal CalMag) so Im trying this new stuff..it should give them a lil added boost thats needed now bcuz some leafs r turning colors b4 my flush . I run my cookies 63-65 days & at 49 days this is 2 early 4 leaf yellowing... now if this new stuff gives my plants a tiny added boost well its breaking down the heavy 16 salt base nutes ive been using that sounds kool 2 me..>>> now I should have the option 2 take my plants the full 65 possibly 70 days if I want... if I would have started 2 flush with molasses now id b forced 2 harvest at 63 bcuz the plants would b gettin 2 yellow 4 my liking... <<<< who knows if this will work? But it seemed like a great plan 2 me..

ya..it seems to help with salts fer sher. I always used to steer away from bone or blood meal indoors cause I knew it can burn..the liquid stuff did fine. Makes me think it would work fine in a bed. Everything is better so far...might use a bit differently next round..with less or none at flush. Better smell, high..seems to be taking longer for them to dry than normal. I'm not fully done curing, but it may have diminished flavor ever so slightly.

Thanks for postin Doggie :)
Thats sounds like an excellent plan..
I just finished giving my girls lots of plain well water..Beautiful weather huh Goo?

Thanks For the Reply @Garden of Dreams ! :)
Great advice!

I wasnt buying the flush with HH claims either...thats why I started the thread.

I think ive read some folks say that Organic in soil doesnt need a flush.,..
I have always flushed anyway...hoping the water would fatten the buds :)

I think the real issue here is whether or not the phosphorus is utilized by the plant or if it is tying up and flushing other elements while the calcium is being taken up. I have flushed with HH and no noticeable issues with burn quality of my herb and it was the best weight I had hit in a while. Food for thought. Just because we pump the soil full of something doesnt mean we are doing anything other than potentially killing the herd. Also, higher EC levels have had effects on taste/smell, so are we really hurting ourselves by upping the phosphorus during the last two weeks if we have shied away from it for the past 6?

dug out some of my stuff that's 2 weeks deep. thumbs up! I'd say go for it..my flavors are staring to pop big time..even on some that were weak in flavor before this run are impressing me. Maybe keep it low for flush, like 5 ml/gal and see how you like it..especially if you have been giving them some BM all along.

Hit each 4x8 bed of coco with a qt of HH in 40 gallons and I can say the smoke is smooth and the aroma is loud...

Have you noticed that the buds take longer to dry..or am I trippin? The texture seems a bit different too..but subtle.
Granted, we're having a nice spring around here...I'm maintaining pretty good indoors. My wet trim took at least 2 or so longer days..and the trees I hung weren't even close @ 9 days. Had to drop humidity from 45% to 35% (temps around 68-70)..just to be able to pull the fans off.
