hey guys.. ok so im entering week 6 of flower indoor in soil. The way i flush is that for half a week or more i will flush it with half of the nutrients.. and then for two weeks with no nutrients... i have a friend telling me thats the way to do it,, you should go down on nutrients slowly and then flush with no nutes. The thing is i just found out that the guy that gave me the clones gave them mixed to me... i thought i had 2 diferent genetics and looks like i got 3 now. The new one i spotted is purple punch which i have grown before and takes 7 weeks to harvest. So my question is... can i just flush it directly with no nutrients without having to slowly go down and the give it clean water,, can i just give it normal water and flush it like that ... HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO SLOWLY GO DOWN ON NUTS JUST BEFORE FLUSHING AND WHY?

I'd say it make no difference in soil. When you stop feeding nutrients you still have some in the soil and it will take sometime before the plants deplete it completely and start to fade away.
I think that could have more sense in hydro, where you try to mimick the end of the season, when nutrients become less and less available.
Hope this help you!

water with un phd water so that lockout happens at root zone and the plant will cannibalise the stored nutrients in fan leaves.

Ice is when growers try to mimic first frost and shock the root zone, the plant thinks frost is coming soon so it tries to finish up. Not sure how well it works, I have tried it, just really shocks the shit out of the plant. Too much could kill it, but if you're at harvest I guess. I just flush unphd so that the plant eats all that's let within it, so you taste the true terpene profile and the smoke is much better.
