Ball & Chain is a great song. If you dig the alt Irish thing, I'd check out the pogues.

you make a very good point for all the underground guys scared of 64, Alot of growers never took much of a price cut, over the last 2-3 yrs or so. Most of em cant grow enough.

I seriously dnt see the 50 zip, or lower either. I personally cant see quality being grown indoors, in colorado, with the overhead for less than a 100 zip retail. Compaired with the quality the growers i know are bringing and the levels they are producing.and all the other mid sized growers all over the state. i dont think they are too worried. just glad their pretend plant counts just went up.

And shame on you for not voting not just for or against 64 but just in general. but thats all i have to say about that. Its your right to waste.

Yeah SM, I am out of the loop in more than just music, lol. I do not even listen to radios anymore. I still have vinyl records and cassettes. I still like the sound of vinyl (so does Keith Richards!) and I really dig the mono track sound. But I guess I figure I have enough old music to enjoy and rarely search for new stuff. Although I occasionally hear some new stuff I like...nothing comes close to the era of music from my days (60-70s). It's what happens to some of us as we get up in age. I used to laugh at older folks diggin on "Big Band" orchestra stuff (Benny Goodman, Herb Albert, etc) but as you age you realize the music you grew up with also captures a bit of nostalgia with memories of younger days. Its good for the soul.

Ahhh classic rock from the 60's and EARLY 70's, Best time for music the world has ever seen. imo Still have over 200 albums, cassettes and even an old teac real to real. Unfortunately when DISCO came out I went country and never came back . Can't tell you one rock group that is out today except maybe a crossover country group. But since disco rock has never been the same. Red Neck Noise anymore. Glad I was a teenager in the 60's the world will never be like things were when I grew up.

I was in the Los Angeles area for over 30 years. During that time I really got into the underground music scene, and of during my teenage years spent a lot of time going to clubs like Gazzari's in Hollywood (I was friends with the guys in this band, they're now called Stryper, and used to help them get their gear to gigs), punk shows, just all kinds of stuff. Now I live in a cultural wasteland, haven't listened to any radio regularly since I moved. Why? Because whenever I turn it on my choices are country, western, or religion. Not my cuppa.

I left all my vinyl with my ex-husband and he got rid of it ALL when he found God. Can you fucking believe that? Oh well.

Social D is from my younger days, I'm talking the 80s. I guess that's new to you, eh? But SD specifically is fucking old crackers for me, and since I always need me some fresh I moved on from that stuff a long time ago.

It's not that I don't appreciate the older stuff, it's that I like to keep it fresh. I don't want to be like so many of my friends and look and act like I'm stuck in decades long past, ya dig?

i hear ya, two songs that I've heard so many times that I can no longer listen to are Stairway to Heaven and Freebird. Although they may to the THE best songs ever I just can't listen to them anymore.

Now The Beatles I can listen to all day long, every day.

First off New Belgium is crap. I used to drink their unfiltered Flat Tire when (90-91)it still had a hand written label, in 24oz bottles. They went for it in '97, and at best produce a mid to low quality beer. Personally I d rather drink a Coors Light then the crap New Belgium produces. Except maybe the Shaft in blue can, maybe. But seriously that company is not small their growth model was not ready and the beer is not of the same quality it was, and not ready for the market segment the competition already has.. Their quality is ehh. Marketing too much, to make up for low quality product.

no offense at all dude, but If i had a bottle of beer for every time i heard this. id have a silo full of beer. I think NB gets alot of shit for no reason other than their the big guys in the lil guys game. Shift not that good if you havent tried it. The red hoptober is really good ( i thought). I actually think its the best seasonal theyve put out to date, that ive had. Again no offense :)

Back when I was 'full-time amateur beer quality control expert', I can say I noticed NB was lowering it's standards when it came to quality (mouthfeel, maltiness were the two big ones that went). Who knows, may be the Schlitz Syndrome, were you have sub-par tasters measuring on last years version for consistency and not against the original taster cards??? Or it could be when you scale up, you also lose quality control, you can't run your hand through every pound of hops :)

As far as the tomatoes are concerned, you know what a fucking hamburger cost's in Manhattan? When my sister lived there 10+ years ago it was also 50%-100% more than in Denver; beer, taxi, everything....
That's why when you're at the cafeteria in Vail, you can kinda guess where people are from by their reactions to prices...
What may seem real expensive to us: $200+ ounces, $3.5 /# tomatoes, $10 /# organic meat...Isn't so expensive to other markets.
So tourism will even help the tomato sales!

Great Lakes brewing company, will beat all your beers hands down......plus it's made with radioactive lake erie water.....you can't beat that(jk)....but for real it's some dam good artisan beer... arcadia brewing company in michigan is a bomb brewery as well.*Puffs sherlock pipe snobbingly and sips Zguilded dortmunder..Ahhhhh* :D Can't be beat
