Social D? never heard them before. I fucking like it. I like the big flatop/acoustic sound and the steady beat. It has a hint of Irish-ness to it? Notice?

I've heard as much as 30-45% retail tax on herbs? I mean how low will the legal people be able to afford to crush prices by mass producing it? All i know is thats a pretty ridiculous way for big business to steal more my money and I'm glad I didn't vote. Sounds perfectly feasible to me to when I dig into my pocket for another pack of cigarettes. I wonder what percent of tobaco goes to taxes all in all?
You must live out in the middle of nowhere in a teepee or something. ;)
Ball & Chain is a great song. If you dig the alt Irish thing, I'd check out the pogues.

I think his name was Jimmy, and he played gee-tar.No problem here, same attitude as allways , do what I want, use common sense, let the rest fuck it up or make it work...
Cause i got my own world to live through and I aint gonna copy you...
White collar conservative flashin down the street..
Pointing his plastic finger at me
Hoping my kind will soon drop and die
Iam going to wave my freak flag high.... HIGH!!!
Anybody know who sang that in song???
You're kidding... right? I have a girlfriend who used to shoot up with Mike D. They used to play all the *best* clubs in Orange County.Social D? never heard them before. I fucking like it. I like the big flatop/acoustic sound and the steady beat. It has a hint of Irish-ness to it? Notice?
Oh! Now there ya go. Can we go a little north and hit Iceland while we're at it? I wanna hear more Bjork and I like the taste of Sugarcubes. You must live out in the middle of nowhere in a teepee or something. ;)

I was in the Los Angeles area for over 30 years. During that time I really got into the underground music scene, and of during my teenage years spent a lot of time going to clubs like Gazzari's in Hollywood (I was friends with the guys in this band, they're now called Stryper, and used to help them get their gear to gigs), punk shows, just all kinds of stuff. Now I live in a cultural wasteland, haven't listened to any radio regularly since I moved. Why? Because whenever I turn it on my choices are country, western, or religion. Not my cuppa.Yeah SM, I am out of the loop in more than just music, lol. I do not even listen to radios anymore. I still have vinyl records and cassettes. I still like the sound of vinyl (so does Keith Richards!) and I really dig the mono track sound.
Social D is from my younger days, I'm talking the 80s. I guess that's new to you, eh? But SD specifically is fucking old crackers for me, and since I always need me some fresh I moved on from that stuff a long time ago.But I guess I figure I have enough old music to enjoy and rarely search for new stuff. Although I occasionally hear some new stuff I like...nothing comes close to the era of music from my days (60-70s). It's what happens to some of us as we get up in age. I used to laugh at older folks diggin on "Big Band" orchestra stuff (Benny Goodman, Herb Albert, etc) but as you age you realize the music you grew up with also captures a bit of nostalgia with memories of younger days. Its good for the soul.
the alcohol industry is dominated by big corps. and now small, quality brewers even like NEW BELGIUM have to build huuuuuge facilities to even try to compete
Fuckin' ACE!i hear ya, two songs that I've heard so many times that I can no longer listen to are Stairway to Heaven and Freebird. Although they may to the THE best songs ever I just can't listen to them anymore.
Now The Beatles I can listen to all day long, every day.

First off New Belgium is crap. I used to drink their unfiltered Flat Tire when (90-91)it still had a hand written label, in 24oz bottles.
