shame on you. err ...me....umm..yeah.. o_O

I miss G. Dubya, lol...what a fuckin disgrace to the country but in the same sense an ironic figurehead. A perfect reflection of the fall of this country. Sorry Bush supporters. :)

I've read so much about how bad alcohol is from all the political marketers who are payed to pave the way for mj legalization, it's ironic that you guys would be discussing the stuff. I'm now convinced alcohol should be made illegal again. I guess there are no telemarketing jobs paying to promote that idea. Oh well maybe we can all get jobs in the gay marriage industry after this is all over with.

Well, part of the Safer campaign was that Prohibition is a failed policy with Alcohol, and MJ too. So making it illegal kinda defeats the purpose of regulation, as Alcohol.
Still much more to play out, but at least the conversation is happening at the next level.

Yeah I have a foot in both worlds Sky. And dont feel bad about it at all. I'm just trying to carve out a living like the rest of us and why not "keep my enemies closer." While at the same time dialing in our craft. I'm thankful for where I sit. Altimood I framed homes for 15 years so respect to you. This was a good thread with a respectful back and forth and then i saw something bout orange sherbet. I work very hard and have for years so why would I not want to protect that. I saw mention of a growers union that idea should have some legs and is worth some time and energy. Thank you to all who participated in this talk I just wish I had more time to get to know some of you. Who is this lino always chiming in with some weird ass shit. Sorry bro but I'm not sure what planet you reside. Thanks again Farmers good talk.

haha I was fooled into thinking this was a thread about being fooled, actually its about beer and music....don't like beer but I love music. Social D may be old but Mike Ness has progressed a lot from the eighties, heading more towards country and acoustic sets. I am pretty sure the last original member besides ness died in 99. Acoustic ball and chain:

I like his guitar playing..it's much like my playing as I am a bit sloppy and choppy as he is. Its a loud garage-like sound that I like....much like a raw or unplugged style. His voice fits his guitar style too.

I think that nice big mellow sound is coming from Gibson guitars with rosewood and spruce tops.

stick around and bullshit, nice people here!

I agree, but I think you'll find that a good amount of that "choppy" sound actually comes as a result of the quality of the instrument (and the strings). People often forget that this makes a difference--and in this case it's a huge one.

You probably are working with a similar quality instrument/string combo as this fella as well as hitting the strings with a bit more "chop" :)

Oxidation is the enemy of that 'bright' sound. That's why a low vibration/frequency instrument like the sexaphone actually sounds better when it's all old and corroded. I think. My chems a little rusty :)

I'm pretty sure a lot of folks are operating that way since 1284 passed and screwed things all up, bigw. And no problem about not feeling bad about it all. I don't feel bad about the 20 years I got to play hard while there was some >real< money still in the game and most folks were afraid to play >at all<, nor, as I said, do I feel bad to see it all change AGAIN and make folks think/reevaluate their game....especially those who licensed under 1284 and fell into bed with the State.

There's certainly going to be money made via 64. The question now is...will it be made illegally/under the table via the system that worked so well- for so many- for so long...or will it be under this new model where the fat cats get fatter, the corps takeover, and the State fills it's coffer with more of our money?

I'll wager we will hear from the Fed soon...unless this Polis bill gums things all up and they have to vote on it rather than a judge handing down a decision.... anybody seen an ETA?

Since we are talking $$$, I think the ones who will line their pockets with gold are the grow stores and the consultants. Sky you should run a half page add on the back page of Westwood and charge a consulting fee for this new round of idiots that think they have found Nirvana with the passage of 64. $175 bucks and hour to show a newby how it's done sounds reasonable to me. You would be totally legal, no red card needed. ha ha

Was picking up some stuff at the grow store yesterday and they were acting like it was Christmas. They have a whole new crop of beginners they can sell them all kinds of shit they don't really need.

Just sitting on the fence watching all this go down.

If all goes well, yes, "MJ Grow Schools" would be a good business venture.

And as more people start growing for themselves, less money will go to the commercial growers and less money will be collected in state tax revenues. Fuck em!

Gold diggers are going to need shovels. I don't know if the rush will be as big this time. Once people take the time to actually READ the Amendment, they will realize the boat sailed years ago. I don't think we'll have that many transplants for 1oz...But who knows.

LOL, putmebk. I want absolutely nothing to do with Grow classes or anything else related to the greedy side of 64. Hopefully that side of it all will die a quick death.

The hydro stores will no doubt see a rise in biz...but like the "Green Rush" I don't see it sustaining storefronts.....though there are certainly those folks out there who think there's a ton of money to be made selling these goods who will no doubt open new stores even though stores have been closing statewide due to oversaturation of the market. (we had 4 here at the height of the madness and are now down to 1)

I hear ya dope...hopefully the FED will weigh in soon and save a few folks the Uhaul rental.....
