Was wondering what's best for trimming foxtail before hanging branches to dry ?. I've got 12 plans in coco NL strain with a couple that foxtailed and their a couple of day's from harvest. Planning on partial trim before hanging branches then finish trim when dried, those that foxtailed should I trim to open up individual buds for better air circulation or just wait then dry trim. Thinking opening up space between buds would cut risk of mold and dry uniform with the other plants, appreciate advice and your thoughts.

I'd open them up some, but I wouldn't carve every foxtail apart before the dry.

Take the fans and the obvious leafy stuff that is trapping moisture, especially anywhere the foxtails are stacked tight against the main bud. If a top has little spear-like fingers sticking out, just clean around them enough that air can move. Trying to split every little point tends to make that part dry too fast and you'll knock more resin around while it's still soft.

The bigger mold control is how you hang them. Give those foxtailed branches more space than the normal ones, don't let tops touch each other, and keep a steady fan moving air around the room without blasting the buds. If any of the foxtailed sections are really dense in the middle, I'd break that branch down smaller before hanging rather than leaving one thick clump.

Then finish the detail trim dry. Foxtails are annoying to manicure, but as long as they aren't holding wet leaf inside the bud, they don't need surgery.
