Yeah dude we got a well, and we got lines on our property that run outside our main water supply bypasses the filters. They run straight up brown water. Old copper pipesYou don't even have to sweat any more. You can go PVC and use what's called a SHARK BITE coupling.
It connects copper to PVC.

If so you probably don't won't copper,unless the PH is already perfect.
