The pvc goes all the way to the bottom of the cans. I fill first can full then use the little pump to push water through pvc into the second can creating the siphon. As long as you leave an inch or two in the cans it will never lose siphon and the cans will stay at an equal level. I pump out 20 gal at a time into tuff totes. I have to wait a couple minutes for the siphon to catch up before filling another tote. Not a problem by the time I'm done using the 20 gal. The cans have equalized and I can refill the tote.Kinda how do you keep the siphon?
