I keep mine in the small pot until they're about 6" tall. Then I repot.

I like to go off of if the leaves extend over the sides of the cup. Also I judge by if the roots have developed enough that when you go to repot all your substrate comes with your plant. Well most of it anyway.

I have been letting my clones stay in solo cups until they need to be watered twice daily. This is in coco, with synthetic nutrients.

There's a cool trick for monitoring root growth in solo cups. Get clear plastic cups the same size as the solos, melt holes in the bottoms, and stick them inside the solo cups. That way you can lift the clear cup out of the solo to check on roots, then put them back into the solo to prevent light from hitting the roots.

I transplant when the leaves reach the edges of the cup. That’s about 2 - 3 weeks old.

You might want to think about 3gal fab instead of 1gal pot.

You could do that but you’ll be repotting out of that 1 gal very soon. Repotting can be stressful and you should have a bit of time in the intermittent pots. I’d also use a 10gal over a 5gal.

imo its unwise to transplany 1.5 week old seedling into big pots. Container size should be appropriate for the plant size. You don't want containers that take a week to dry before watering again. Better to wait until the 1 gallon containers are needing water everyday before moving to bigger shoes.

Now what you want to do is put in the cereal first. Then the milk. Let it get soggy for like 5 minutes. Then its the perfect bowl of frosted flakes. Any other way. Ruined. Might aswell eat a bowl of your own diarrhea.

(0_0 ) I just wanted to know if you had any Corn Flakes....

Not sure what you're saying. You asked how old a plant should be before transplanting to a 1 gal pot. You got several answers that mostly agrree you should wait until its big enough the cup is full of roots and won't fall apart. So why are you sad? what did you want to hear?
