I have an announcement about Aurora Innovations: ROOTS ORGANICS TRINITY CATALYST. Its a basically supposed to be like Sweet or Sweet Leaf... a carb/sugar booster. Supposed to be compatible with all nutrient programs. I added it to the rez for my week 2 banana og table (5ml/g... 200ml total). When I checked my reservior this evening to see how things were the rez is foaming and looking like fucking bubble bath. I am not saying the stuff doesn't work, cause I don't know yet. But it doesn't seem to be playing nice with the rest of the stuff in the rez. Maybe its better for those who hand feed in soilless mixes....
heres some pics of the reserviors...
BOTH
BUBBLY w/airstone
NORMAL
BUBBLY w/out airstone
I FIGURED OUT THAT TURNING OFF THE AIRSTONES IN THE REZ STOPPED THE BUBBLING... gonna have to watch the rez closely thruought the week for buildup and stuff. I don't like that the rez isn't going to be getting all the fresh o2...
It is a small 40 gal rez. Ill go check the NO to NO3 but this is my formula so far:
RIPENING WEEK FIVE Master Kush
200ml GH FLORANOVA Bloom
200ml GH Kool bloom liquid
2 sachets H&G shooting powder
10tsp GH KoolBloomSOLID ripening
40ml Supernatural Budblaster powder
40ml GH Floralisious plus
200ml GH FloraBlend
1200ml BUdswell guano
200ml Botanicare Aquashield
400ml Botanicare CALMAG+
200ml Humboldt Honey -ES
200ml Heavyweight Molases syrup
TWO THINGS THAT CHANGED: THE FLORANOVA Was shaken by me instead of drill and the benies in the rez were accompanied by extra sweet carbs in the ripening formula.
my personaly hypothesis would be that you are creating an organic tea essentially in your rez, i make organic teas myself, and mollases feeds the beneficial bacteria you are brewing, furthermore i do believe you can make an organic tea from mollases alone (i know someone does it never done it myself) and when you make a good tea, it gets frothy just like in your picture and smells earthy, i assume you have an airstone or two at the bottom of your rez correct? what do you all think about that idea
Doesn't look like too much foam. Sometimes molasses foams up a bit I am assuming It may be an organic reaction between all the minerals, vitamins and oxygen in the water. Not sure though. Generally I think using Sweet in a hydro res is a better idea. It is more refined so it shouldn't really facilitate bacteria or fungal growth witch you don't want in a rez. I wouldn't worry too much about it if your plants are doing fine. Just make sure it doesn't progress.Bringin back thread for more info, happened to me last night after adding molasses and sugar based flora nectar. Basically I believe the airstone is rapidly fermenting the res water. PH is holding so I think I am going to leave it until next res change. Any Idea? Good, Bad, or Ugly? See for your self.
