I live in a country where the devils lettuce is illegal, so I've been ordering my cannabis on the dark web regularly for the past 2-3 years, but a few months ago a shipment got nipped in customs and I got charged with illegally moving drugs into the country. I contacted the police and told them it wasn't me

A month later the charges got dropped. Since I don't wanna risk it again I'll grow it myself now. This is my confessio... Ahem, diary.

This my first time growing, so if you see something you think I could do better please feel free to reply

Equipment:
120x120cm (4x4) tent
25 liter (6.6 gallon) fabric pots (they got planted in 6 liter fabric pots at first before I learned that was way too small)
Ducting fan and fox carbon filter (these a just some no name cheapos I found)
2 x LED Meiju QB288 V3 lm301h 240W Color: 660nm + 3500K

Medium: Coco / perlite. I think it's about 40% perlite but I just mixed it until I felt it looked like all the pictures I've seen.
Half of the coco is just shit terrarium bedding for reptiles. But it's a pain in the ass to buffer yourself so I bought 50 liter pre buffered CANNA coco which to my surprise was much cheaper.

Nutes:
CANNA A+B
CANNA Calmag
CANNA Cure (I spray them with this once a week to prevent disease)
PH Up and Down

Strains:
3x Royal Gorilla, 1x White Widow

I sprouted the seeds using the wet paper towel method. Planted them in small plastic cups after the tap roots were longer than my finger nail.
From there they went into 6 liter pots and now 25 liter pots.

Water and food:
My tap water is pretty shit, it sits at 250ppm. For the first few weeks of the girls life I used 2ppm RO water I got from work.
But I can only get so much, and for the last 14 days I've been watering with tap water until christmas holiday ends.
I've mixed in 300ppm Calmag from day one. First few weeks I fed with 200ppm, then 300ppm and now that they are 8 weeks old I've been feeding 900ppm and plan to up it to 1200 during flower. I plan to keep them in veg for about 9-10 weeks.
Right now at 8 weeks I'm watering every 3 days. Nutes are mixed in most of the time, I only give them pure water if I detect nute burn which really only happened a bit during the first few weeks.
I regulate the PH every time. They get between 5.5 and 6.5 randomly. Sometimes it's 5.8, sometimes 6.5 and so on. I do this because I read somewhere that the plants take different nutrients better at different PH levels, so I switch it up.

RH and temp:
18C at night and 24C during day (64.4F and 75F)
I kept the RH at 80% during the first few weeks and now at 8 weeks I try to maintain 50%, but it's hard without a dehumidifier. It regularly climbs to 75%, I should probably find a solution before flower.

Training:
I topped them when they reached 6th node. They quickly grew two new main stems and one grew four to my surprise.
3 days after topping I began low stress training. Pulling the entire stem 90 degress and having the two new stems go around the pot on opposite directions.
I've been doing lst every 2-3 days until today at 8 weeks where I stopped. When they reach a little more height I'll install a SCROG net and create a big canopy before switching them to flower.

So this is where I'm at right now a the halfway point. Wish me luck guys.

When you switching to flower? They look good, I would lollipop them now before flower, then defoliate some during 3rd week of flower

I'm planning on lollipopping them in a few days when they reach a little more height, just before I install the scrog net.
Then I'll give them a week to recover and flip them. I don't plan on doing the extreme heavy defoliation that I see a lot of people doing.

Even my lollipopping wont be that extreme. I'm having a hard time seeing the reason for it. I'll remove about one third. No more.

LIGHTNING:
I forgot to mention what I do with my lights in the first post.
They are both dimmable so the plants got 25% during week 1-3, 50% during week 3-7 and have now been on 100% for weeks 8 and 9.
I've maintained a height of 45cm (18 inches) throughout and plan on maybe lowering them to 30cm (12 inches) when I flip and see how they react. Or maybe not. Who's to say.

Week 9

I lollipopped them today. Hope I did alright since this is my first time. It took 3 god damn hours. But a little bud in the lungs and a joe rogan podcast later I was done.

The being 'high part' probably was a bit detrimental to my overall speed.

I removed many small branches who wasn't gonna make it and I removed any growth on all branches up to nodes 6 or so, and removed any new branch growth on those but kept the fan leaves.

I can now see some old damage from my not so low LST and repaired some new . I've also lost a few 3-4 node tops during lst because didn't anticipate how fast would grow and made the wires too tight around the plants so they snapped when I removed them again.

I plan on keeping them in veg for maybe two more weeks. Depends on when I feel satisfied with the canopy.

The damage:

Before defoliation:

After defoliation:

Oh, and you might have noticed in some of the pictures in my first post that there exists a fifth plant. This is Ben. My extra seed in case any of the others didn't make it. But I only have 4 fabric pots. I keep neglecting him and thinking he's dead be he keeps coming back. I think he might be immortal you guys.

Week 10

I am now satisfied with the canopy.
Flipping them today after 71 days in veg. Time for flowerpower.
12/12 light cycle and I have lowered the lights to 30cm (12 inches).
As the plants stretch I will maintain the lights at 30cm from the top of the plants.

RH is still a little high. Hovers around 68-75%, but I can't afford a dehumidifier so we'll hope for the best.
If we finally get some winter here and temps finally go below freezing outside, then my rh will probably drop.

I'll update when I get a few weeks into flower.

I am now 4 weeks into flower. Things are going great.
I had a hard time trimming the canopy, I'm not experienced enough to predict which branches are gonna make it so I let most of it grow.
Making sure I had as many tops as possible. I've also removed larger fan leaves that stole light from neighbouring tops.

I'm now having to remove larger actual branches because now it's easy to see which ones can't make it through the canopy.
It pains my heart to remove a branch that large because it's just wasted.

I'm still watering every 2-3 days. I had to skip one of the plants one time because the pot was still heavy when the other 3 were very light. Also seemed like that plants growth stunted a little, so I let it dry out a before returning to normal watering schedule. It seems to be bouncing back.

Feeding at 1200ppm -> 300ppm calmag, 700ppm Canna AB and 200ppm from my shit water source. I pushed it to 1700ppm one time but noticed yellow tips so I brought it back. Still randomly watering at PH in the 5.5-6-5 range.

The humidity is still a problem. Keeps fucking raining outside. RH inside the tent is constantly at 75-85%.
So I bought a dehumidifier. Should be able to remove 10 liters per day in rooms up to 60m3.
I've had it inside the tent set at 45% but it has only managed to get the it down to 65%.
I think my ventilation is pulling humid air from the room through the tent too fast for it.
We'll see how it holds up, might try putting it outside the tent and attaching it to the air intake vent.

They have a really sweet smell to them now.

Thank you guys, I appreciate the comments.

I'm actually surprised by how much I've enjoyed growing these plants, I really enjoyed the vegetative state.
Not so much flower, there's nothing to do anymore but wait.

I think they are about two weeks from being ready for harvest now.
They have now gained so much weight that they are starting to tip.

I've debated wether or not to flush because from what I can gather it might be bro science. But if it is, then it's not worth it for me not to do it. So I'm just starting now and chopping them in two weeks or maybe before if they start buckling under their own weight too much.

Been feeding at 900-1200 ppm. Got a humidifier. It keeps the RH between 45-65%. Depends on when I last watered them. I sadly pushed the watering a day too long right after I got the humidifier. Should not have done that, got a lot of burnt leaves, but not too bad.

Smoked a bit. I know I shouldn't, but I did. Still do. I anticipate final weight to be about 5% short. I'm excited to taste the final dried bud compared to incomplete, because while I do get royally fucked already, the taste is not recommendable.

Anyways I'll probably update again when they've been in jars for a few weeks.
