...you really don't need to do anything like that, either follow the strategy i posted above or just go with the sticky tapes, unless you have a HUGE infestation most of the flyers, aka egg layers, will have been caught within 2 weeks while most of the egg's will have hatched and become flyers, hopefully caught before they themselves can lay more eggs.

...obviously the sooner you put the traps in and the more of them you use the faster this will happen.
