I just got my
VIVOSUN 6 INCH INLINE DUCT VENTILATION FAN

It's as powerful as and looks like a jet engine......Also as loud as one......They made it seem A LOT quieter on amazon......

I have a Vortex as well as a Vivosun, both 6inch models. I can tell you that the Vivosun doesn't even compare to the Vortex in terms of how loud it is. I have only dealt with Vivosun for two items, but all of their reviews state how easy the company is to work with if you are dissatisfied with your purchase. Plus, if you purchased through Amazon, it should be fairly easy to return it anyway. In their defense, I don't believe that there are too many inline fans that are quiet on the market, at least in my experience. Positive vibes...

Yeah that shit is pretty deafening comparatively haha. I don't have either one hooked to a carbon filter or anything though. I can hear it anywhere in the house. I am pretty sure my Vortex has a higher CFM rating than my Vivosun, but I would have to find the box or papers to confirm. Positive vibes...

I have the cloudline t6 which looks very similar. Pushed around 400 and something cfm. Was loud as hell as well vented into the garage where I smoke. Cigars and flower so I spend time out there. But I just put a 24 inch carbon filter on the end of it and quieted it down a ton.

Q-max fans are the quietest I've heard. Pricey though.
It's not the fan that makes the noise, it's the air coming out of it. A good quiet fan needs a muffler.

I had a noise issue I can fan and filtered it plus used the acoustic ducting not much sound now .

Return them and get urself a Ac infinity which is a real fan that's actually stupid quiet as my t6 is quieter at max speed than what my vivosun 6in clip on oscillating fans actually so ya they are very quiet and DC power is the way to go for efficiency hands down which for the fan is quieter as less rpm and better bearings etc...
