Good morning fellow farmers. My first grow for the new year will be 4 auto flowers by Mephisto called Grappa Auto. They are a cross of double grape x forum stomper. I went in on buying the seeds with a friend who ordered from North Atlantic Seeds. We all split the seeds up and i chose this for autos and they chose the photos. I keep 4 seeds of these came as 5pk and i get 3 of their photo seeds. Those will be started in March. We both take clones from our photos so if i get a failed seed they can give me clones for outdoors. And i will also be doing clones off mine
My indoor setup is VERY basic. 3x3x6 tent Vipar 2500pro 25" from top of plants dialed back at 50% for now it's about 5yrs old. Only 3gal fabric pots, Dr. Earth potting soil with extra perilite and 1cup of worm casting mixed into each pot. They are just a few days out of the dirt. The only other thing i use is a fan outside the tent which i won't start until they get used to the enviornment, Lets hope they do OK.I sorta monitored the temps for a day and it stays above 75f lights on and tent door closed, lights off it varies but does not go below 60f. I crack the door flap to allow my home heat to creep in at night. Any questions or " non techie tips ask away. I update about 1xwk unless big change happens.
Thanks for reading my blabber and good luck to all you growers. P.S. I love Marcus Mariota
Hell yeah Gal, and so it begins! It’s sunny here at the moment and reading your post got me really excited for spring and summer hahah! Im sure we’ll get an awesomely late snow storm in march though
tagging along from the peanut gallery!
Oh i know it's flooding and landslides up here right now. Yuck snow we had a powerful late snow once March lost power for 5days, i lived in the woods then.Hell yeah Gal, and so it begins! Thank youI’ll for sure be tagging along can’t wait to see what you got for us this year
I still have some oldies also the ones with the bloom an veg switches and yes they rocked in my tent. But they are way up in a loft shelf in my garage boxed up when i moved to town. I really need to get them down and give them away cause i won't use them anymore. I think they were called 450R have 2 of them. You know, Vipar gear is pretty good.
I bought six or seven of the P series. I had two 2000 2 1500s. 2 1000s and a 600
I retired him, but I really didn’t need to because they were still kicking it and they’re about 5-6 years old Got used every fucking day that entire time and when I plug them in sometimes for supplementals and shit they rocket still
They look great Gal! You’ve seen what im doing to my seedlings and how long they’ve been at it!Happy Friday farmersbeen 10days since last update on my 4 autos. Things are going OK a few burps as you can see by the wonky leaf on pic 2 & 3. I'm not sweating it yet i just figured they are just getting settled in and beginning to find the moisture. I've got those dang soil gnats again i really think it's coming from the Dr. Earth Mother Load soil bag. So far cause i've not watered the whole bags deeply the little black flies are not so bad but even my cat finds them annoying while she sits and watches me water them.
These are approx. 14days from coming out of the soil. They are growing into the 2nd node and i've watered them now 2x giving just water. Next watering i'll start them with the NPK dyna grow and increase the amount of fluid. They are 30" from light and it's set at 75% now. Temps are good 78F the humidity is abit low at 35%RH. Right now i'm watering every 4days that will change as they hopefully take off. I don't think i'll top these nor do any LST just leave em Bthat's it hopefully get to harvest in 75days LOL.
Thank you BearWater. I could say the same about my tent enviornment. My grows are simple compared to most. Just like my kids had to grow up tough skinned from the get go.They look great Gal! You’ve seen what im doing to my seedlings and how long they’ve been at it!poor things deserve better but im all they get at the moment! lol! again, looking great for 14 days old! : )
Looking good Gal! Have any predictions (guesses) about when you’ll be able to throw them outside?Afternoon fellow farmers this gal is posting a update on the 4 autoflowers. These are now about 21days old from seed sprouting. Really beginning to take off. If you look at the prior photo's from last friday to now they have started to fill out more and grow taller yea hooThey each have a wonky leaf but it does not look to be slowing them down in growing.
I split a gal. of nutes between them all this morning. I've turned my light up to 100% they are 30" from it and doing OK so far. I will not be topping nor doing any LST just don't want to chance slowing down this grow as i'm on my last 2 jars from last summer outdoor and i'm buying 1/2oz now from dispensary to help suppliment my evening tokes. Thanks for viewing and good day to all.
Yeah I was wondering about your temps up there, we’re all sorts of warm right now! Maybe we’ll get some snow flurries in a week or so. But im not holding my breath longer than it takes to toke a bowl for that one! Hahahaah! I like that idea of making clones for trade! : )@BearWater No sir not this gal. I won't put MJ outside till sometime in June. It's been 25f in the a.m. outdoors now. It's a waste even with a heater no bueno and i need da weed. Next grow after this will be my photoperiods I'll take cuttings from those right before i flip them to flower and make clones for outdoors and for trade.
Thanks for the encouragement. I don't give up easy half my problem, i tend to " nurse " plants. It's now been 4 days since i posted those pics and i've noticed that they are looking better since i deeply watered and fed them. Only reason for me to grow these autos was the need to fill my jars as i'm nearly out. I went with buying seeds which i've not done in years cause my friends do breed and pass along seeds. But Mephesto was highly recommended so i went in on some seed purchases. Not the seller or breeder fault it's me and my low budget grow tent setup. It's just not optimal in winter for me to do autos, i'm better with photos. We're even farther up the west coast. The weather has been clear, cold and dry here for about a week. It's not troubling the plants, though. I have heaters in my tents, but they're not used much because the tents are in heated rooms. The humidifiers have been running a lot. We have six plants growing now and we're looking forward to harvesting two of them in a few weeks. Another just finished stretching and is showing some nice early buds.
Your plants do look sad. They might make it, though. Sometimes they surprise us. I had two autos that I almost pulled. I'm glad I didn't because they're the ones we'll be harvesting soon.
