So Gavita came out with an upgraded 1700e..........the version bends, is $1700 new which seems pricey, the new controller unit for it is over $900, this unit uses Gavita diodes and driver and uses around 800 watts from the wall. Same size as the old one, similar but with increased efficiency and results.
So, $1200 for the old one, $1700 for the new. Hard to say it’s worth it. Let’s wait til some reviews come out .
No the 1700 is already hard to work with. Would I trade or sell them NO. But have seen several Commercial light companies coming out with Hight Watts. I believe these lights are being requested by growers in commercial Applications. The plant in this application is being drought stressed and feed heavy. This associated with high humidity and temperatures around 81 to 83 degrees created a situation that could use more PPFD but this again required more inputs from the grower and things can go bad much quicker@Anthem have you seen this light mate..
Max Have you taken a look around where your intake is coming from? I knew aIm too bloody frightened to run anymore than 55% tops in flower.they seem to grow very well between 49-53% max at 80f .it puts my lst betwween 23-25 deg C. Veg i ran in the 60s and plants grew pretty damn well..
guy that had his intake right next to a shrub that had PMMax Have you taken a look around where your intake is coming from? I knew a
I just looked at the specs on the light. Typical Gavita .They make good stuff but they are so poor about thinking about the future. So the new model is folding at the middle. Nice should have been folding from day 1 with the 1650E, they fix the controller only allowing the light to be controlled down to 50 percent but once again they came out with more new shit for the new light. Now they require a new controller. I started out with the 1650E and I had one then I purchased another one. I have the Gun 1 E series adapters, they were a piece of shit. Then I purchased a second 1650E and a e series adaptor. The new light came with the gen 2 adapter. I ended up having to buy a second gen 2 adapter. Here is the real rub. I use a different controller. Talking with tech support he mentioned the industry got together as a whole and decided to run the lighting control at 0-10 volts and they agreed on what conducts in the jack they were going to use. What does Gavita do? Change it. I figured out a hack but I should not have to do something like that.No the 1700 is already hard to work with. Would I trade or sell them NO. I am sure it was the gen 1's here in the US with the problem. I stand by what I said above.Thats near exactly what i found out bout the flaw the controller had so i contacted gavita about it and they knew nothing here in aust as the gen 2 was taken off the shelves awhile back.but i think the flaw was in the gen 2..i bought the gen1 because i wasnt waiting for them to rectify the problem....i still have the gen 1 but havnt bothered using it.was you getting 100% power running the controller .
Yeah nothing around but what i did find a fair few weeks back was mold on the bottom of these tile cardboard boxes that got wet and are just inside the roller door 7meters in front of the inline vents.i panicked no sooner i picked the box up and ran inside to get the mold cleaner that kills it in 30 seconds but i gather the spores would of been absolutely everywhere anthem.i sprayed it everywhere lol.theres still a box there ive sprayed around it.i dont want to move it till i put the hepa filters at front of the vents..im actually doing it tomorrow as the other hep filters rocked up in the mail..
That could be taken the wrong way, I meant about Gavita!I am sure it was the gen 1's here in the US with the problem. I stand by what I said above.
