Cut the steel wire off the bottom of the tomato cages all evenly and drop them down 5 inches. If you got a little stretch still left that will be perfect they will push through. But then again Im in a major city with literally 3 home depots, 2 Lowes, and an Armstrong Garden Center all within a 10 min drive from my house. It's easy for me to go buy new tomato cages for only $2 each. Yes you can start to defoliate a bit now if you want. Start plucking the larger leaves off a handful at a time on each plant each day.should i remove any fan leaves that are through the net ? would they be blocking light from getting underneath
