can be triggered by overwatering..how often that happens is genetics. But you said you didnt overwater...looking at the size of your pots and the relativ small plants, i guess your watering cycle should be at least 7 days, maybe longer. I also have 2 small plants in 5 gallon pots, i water with 4 Liter of water and that takes 9 or 10 days to get consumed.

I have no idea what caused that just saying because wrong watering is just by far the most common mistake for starters.

maybe you should already start some new seedlings just in case so you dont have to wait months without anything..

doesnt cause balls? hm i think ive read it does. meaning the stress can trigger the potential defect that it carries.

Whatever, chance is hes overwatering..the leaves look kind of not-so happy to me, a little too saggy. They should be upright like a morning co...(just look at my plants, the pic i uploaded you can see it) when theyre happy...until maybe 1 or 2 hours before bedtime they start sagging down a little bit.
I could be wrong but i know that look of the plants.

Plus its just statistically so often that people dont get the watering right on their first grow, especially when in this case small plants in big pots, people just cannot bear it to wait longer than a week to water again, they wanna DO something, they want to feed it, giving it nutes, make it grow and this way theyre harming the plant instead of helping it. .i just know this symptom to well, beginners dont even know how a really light pot feels because they never had a really dry pot in their hands. Theyre surprised or even shocked when they feel a dry pot for the first time, man that feels so empty almost like a pot full of cotton balls. Thats what its supposed to be like.

It's bagseed, not necessarily feminized, there's a 50-50 chance of males.

Yes. I figured a good chance they would be herme seeds, which should be like the original. Could be regular photos. I've probably stressed them a bit - underwatering maybe, topping, pruning, aphids. I'll remove this one as well. At least the one is still looking budley. One left to show!

I guess I'm not quite typical. I can learn from reading. I also already knew the watering process in theory. I decided early that I needed to let the plant tell me.
I had someone look after them while I was on vacation(they're actually much more "planty" than I). They left one day and came back to them rather wilty. I just told them to add water until it was trickling out the bottom. That was day 7 after I had watered. They came back fine. I catch them much faster when I'm home - I'm probably looking at them too much...

I figured use the bag seed to try it out. I've used a lot of things I just had around to get started.

LOL, I'll disagree to that ...

there's many beginners who underwater on watering day. They barely wet the soil over fear of "over-watering." It's these same people who are also frequently "over-watering" because they are also watering too frequently.

I know what you meant so don't take offense ... but its not only possible to under and over water at the same time ... many new growers are guilty of doing both (at the same time).

yeah i think i know what you mean, you mean they water 500ml every day instead of 2,5 Liter every 5 days for example.

But there are many guides that tell people to completely saturate the soil and how much water to feed them in comparison to the pot size, lik 20-30% of the volume for example, like 1 - 1,25 Gallons of water for 5 gallon pot. So thats much more straight forward than having to make a judgement by lifting the pot to see if they consumed all the water. Theres much more room for a mistake.

well i thought im done with overwatering mistake since a long time, but i have 1 tent that i just really fucked up because i wasnt used to the new, huge pots. And i learned its a very bad idea to switch to flower while your plants are in the middle of a struggle...should have waited for another 2 weeks, instead i flipped while they were waterstressed for weeks.

good thing im also in another tent.

It's why I use my handy dandy trusty moisture meter. I also lift pots and observe plant details. All of that goes into whether or not I decide to water. I like a really good draining soil because I prefer to water every 3rd or 4th day. There's things we can do to naturally increase watering frequency ... but we have to allow the plant to tell us when to water.

you dont need any "gentle light increase curve"...once you flip and only have 12 hours of light, just hit it with full intensity, 700-800 umol...that equals about 30 watts/squarefoot with a somewhat efficient light.

Don't agree, I use DLI and it has improved both my dry yields and my terpene retention.

I think the last one is starting to show. It's still pulling in tight to itself, so it's hard to see...

The two were germinated at the same time. The sativa looking one showed flower at about 7 days. They're at 14 days now, and while I've been pretty certain for a few days now, today is finally, I think, definitive.
Do the sativa strains usually start out faster? At this point I'm expecting the slower Indica looking plant to have a jump and pass up the other.
The size difference is definitely noticeable.
