It won't cause ballscan be triggered by overwatering..how often that happens is genetics. But you said you didnt overwater...looking at the size of your pots and the relativ small plants, i guess your watering cycle should be at least 7 days, maybe longer. I also have 2 small plants in 5 gallon pots, i water with 4 Liter of water and that takes 9 or 10 days to get consumed.
I have no idea what caused that just saying because wrong watering is just by far the most common mistake for starters.
It's bagseed, not necessarily feminized, there's a 50-50 chance of males.doesnt cause balls? hm i think ive read it does. meaning the stress can trigger the potential defect that it carries.
Whatever, chance is hes overwatering..the leaves look kind of not-so happy to me, a little too saggy. They should be upright like a morning co...(just look at my plants, the pic i uploaded you can see it) when theyre happy...until maybe 1 or 2 hours before bedtime they start sagging down a little bit.
I could be wrong but i know that look of the plants.
Plus its just statistically so often that people dont get the watering right on their first grow, especially when in this case small plants in big pots, people just cannot bear it to wait longer than a week to water again, they wanna DO something, they want to feed it, giving it nutes, make it grow and this way theyre harming the plant instead of helping it. .i just know this symptom to well, beginners dont even know how a really light pot feels because they never had a really dry pot in their hands. Theyre surprised or even shocked when they feel a dry pot for the first time, man that feels so empty almost like a pot full of cotton balls. Thats what its supposed to be like.
However im still standing on the watering thing...:)It's bagseed, not necessarily feminized, there's a 50-50 chance of males.
oh my bad..id go for regular feminized, why the hazzle. Buy 1 time, choose your best plant and cut clones from it....im using 1 motherplant for probably 18 months now.
underwatering maybe
LOL, I'll disagree to that ...nah you didnt man theres no beginner that underwaters.....
It's why I use my handy dandy trusty moisture meter. I also lift pots and observe plant details. All of that goes into whether or not I decide to water. I like a really good draining soil because I prefer to water every 3rd or 4th day. There's things we can do to naturally increase watering frequency ... but we have to allow the plant to tell us when to water.yeah i think i know what you mean, you mean they water 500ml every day instead of 2,5 Liter every 5 days for example.
But there are many guides that tell people to completely saturate the soil and how much water to feed them in comparison to the pot size, lik 20-30% of the volume for example, like 1 - 1,25 Gallons of water for 5 gallon pot. So thats much more straight forward than having to make a judgement by lifting the pot to see if they consumed all the water. Theres much more room for a mistake.
Don't agree, I use DLI and it has improved both my dry yields and my terpene retention.you dont need any "gentle light increase curve"...once you flip and only have 12 hours of light, just hit it with full intensity, 700-800 umol...that equals about 30 watts/squarefoot with a somewhat efficient light.
