i grow outdoors though, so i would have cut mine one-two weeks ago most likely. you'll need a 40x eye scope or similar to see properly if you dont already have one

I see a couple I think. But I would never use trich color to determine when I'd cut. I 've seen many many plants that never turn amber until it's dead. I'd flush a couple days then cut it.

When the calyx swell and the bud smells ripe. Imho a few days either side of the "perfect day" ain't gonna matter much. By then, it's stopped growing and the difference in potency is not much.

I use a couple of different indicators to give me an idea of when they are ready, although I agree that the Trichome color method isn't always the best one. I look for the buds to start developing a more pointed tip, sometimes with single bladed leaves. This is the start of foxtailing, and I don't usually see much growth. The buds also seem to get their best flavor and start to feel greasy... a bit different than the typical stickiness. Yellowing leaves is usually a part of it, although incorrect nutes can either make this worse or not appear at all. Last, but not least, is the overall appearance of the lant. I like to compare it to fall, when leaves lose their gree color and other colors come thru. This often happens in colder weather at the end of flowering.
So, there are a bunch of general signs but it is just going to take some experience to be able to do it with just a glance...but it WILL come!

To my knowledge they are not autos. These are seeds I started developing over 10 years ago by cross pollinating. They were all bag seeds to begin with.

Harvested this one after 10 weeks of flowering. The other 2 plants are still flowering at this time.

These 2 are working on 12 weeks of flowering and still minimum number of amber trichomes.
